Also notice ADAPTATION of SC. Start of season it seemed like he wasnt high on CB diogo leite, but he worked with him, gave him MINS in CL to prove himself and now he is suddenly a starter in pepes absence. He gives players a chance, rewards based on performance, manages the teams fatigue and injury problems, and is getting results with fairly limited resources in comparisons to even his direct competitor (Benfica were one of the top spenders in Europe this summer).

Similarly his management of taremi looks in hindsight to have been solid. MAybe he should have started him in a few more games but overall he bed in without too much unnecessary and really fits into the culture of club and play style now.

Compare to whatever the fuck Leko is doing with beira, whatever potter is doing with ARJ...

^I'm starting to like him more. SC's a live wire and can be pretty blunt and undiplomatic in his comments. But he is doing very well with the players he's given. I respect him rotating players as well. As you said, he rewards players based on performance. This system allows any player on the squad to come up to the starting XI based on hard work and perseverance.

Great run behind the lines, managed to get a toe to the pass, hits the keepers leg then gets a fortunate bounce from the leg off of his back and into the goal!

it was GREAT run off the ball by taremi into space, he threw himself in slide tackle to poke ball him, it came back off defender to his foot while on the ground and squeezes thru gk.

The run made the goal. That is benefit of having taremi in, he really stretches pitch for them.

Awesome stuff. The two of them embody everything SC wants his porto team to be. You have to admit he has given clear identity and culture to team and new signings. Not even comparable with zenit, zero identity or definable style at all, and shows with their pathetic CL displays.

PORTO concede on break AGAIN vs tondela from their own corner. This team is so dangerous from break, and porto naive to not put an extra body back to deal with potential counter.

Man these portuguese matches are entertaining tho.

Honestly porto play so much better with this 2 striker system
A lot more movement and dynamism up front.
Only down side is that it leaves them a little more exposed on the back; tondela just scored because of it

I dont know if its bc they have two strikers. This was again from their OWN CORNER! Seems more like just bad planning on their own corners. They need to leave an extra man back bc tondela is dangerous on thsoe counters.
