He was in Zagreb 2 days ago at some physical therapy spot - Physiroom. No other updates, at least he's not in Iran

has been back in full training for a couple weeks and played in recent friendly match. Looking fit.

Thats great news. It has been tough start to europe for him with injuries, but whenever fit he has looked good in both belgium and croatia, scoring and assisting.

In my opinion he is still the most complete young iranian winger. He has physique advantage over ghayedi and decision making advantage over mohebbi. If he gets over these early injury problems and remains mentally strong he can go a long way in europe.

Hopefully Gorica take their buy option up or Charleroi plans with him next year.

His stats for Khuzestan as a 17 year-old were ridiculous, damn shame to see his career stall but still plenty of time.

It’s just bad luck with injuries unfortunately....the good news is charleroi still have him for quite some time (believe another 2-3 seasons) so as long as he can get fit and pick up where he left off with gorica, he will be primed and ready when they sell gholi and he can step in. Not worried at all just needs to stay healthy!

Is it bad luck? A lot of our players get injured pretty often in Europe....
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.
              O.G from '97 & still here

Infrastructure and not having proper grassroots development.

I know at this point I sound like a broken record, and apologize to fellow PFDC members who have to read my same rant, but our youth aren't getting proper development, and proper physiotherapy at youth levels is a big contributor to our players getting hurt when they transition to the bigger leagues.

I am willing to bet some of the injuries that happen to our players are pre-existing conditions that have developed because of past injuries that were not focused on, or just disregarded. As they get older, these issues show up and end up getting aggravated again or cause additional injuries.

For example, you can get a partial tear on your ACL, depending the percentage of the tear, an orthopedic surgeon can actually "carve" away the tear during a outpatient knee arthroscopy procedure so that the tear doesn't end up propagating to a full tear of the ACL. Of course, this is something that needs to be caught early, and diagnosed properly and taken care of right away.

agreed. But also a fair degree is still down to luck. Plenty of young players from across the world get bad spells with injury when they are initially breaking into senior football. a lot of it has to do with the step up in intensity and physicality from youth football. A lot of it has to do with pushing themselves when not fully fit in fear of being left of out the first team. Then there is simple matter than some players bodies at 17-22 are just not fully developed for mens football, even if they are working extensively on it.

Here is some of the recovery work he was doing recently before returning to the pitch. But as important as physical rehab is mental. Something else we should mention is that for a young player being out for so long repeatedly can often kill their motivation.

I hope it helped that he returned to iran for a few months and continued rehab there, probably spent time with his family + friends, and visited some specialists for his injury there as well.

Never forget his memorable performance at the U-17 WC in India. If he had not gotten a yellow card for a stupid kicking of the ball after the whistle (sounds fmailiar!) in the round of 16 against Mexico, he could have made a difference in the quarterfinals against Spain. The good thing about that incident is that he got the experience at the world stage at a young age, something Mehdi Taremi did not have . He and Allahyar were a similar duo to Taremi-Azmoun (not the exact same positions of course) and then the extra yellow card caused us to miss him in the crucial game against Spain. Of course, we should build our TMs such that we don't have such one-person dependencies yet it was what it was. The art of possible for him is limitless!

                        Go Younes!

According to Sportske website, Younes Delfi played his first competitive minutes after being side-lined for more than 6 months.

GORICA: Banić - Muhammed, Moro (from 61. Keita), Steenvoorden, Krizmanić - Babec, Kalik (from 82. Pršir) - Dvorneković (from 61. Špikić), Mitrović (from 61. Dieye), K. Lovrić - Mudrinski of 79. Delfi). Coach: Siniša Oreščanin.

VARAŽDIN: Horkaš - Tkalčić, Ćelić, Pellumbi, Memija - Guera Djou, Đurasek - Peco (from 46. Herrera), Posavec (from 74. Postonjski), Boban (from 74. Kolarić) - Obregon (from 80. Benko). Coach Zoran Kastel.

The 79th minute should also be recorded, when Iranian Younes Delfi, Gorica's offensive player, entered the field after six and a half months of injury , whose coach made all five substitutions, but did not reach the maximum points because in the last ten minutes Varaždin did not allow anything. Velika Gorica. Gorica extended a bad run with a fifth game without a win, while Varaždin won an extremely important point in their fight to stay in the first league. According to everything shown, especially in defense, they fully deserved it because they did not allow Gorica to spread and attack continuously.
