Beautiful goal. His quality on the ball is still there for all to see. Great third man run thru, picked out, dribbles into box and cuts in expertly onto right foot, curls home

Still not at peak fitness, but slowly getting there.
He was way more active late in game than I expected, lot of good pressing work.
His game iq is so high he is suited to a midfield role. Quickly moves ball out of pressure, is smart with his positioning to create space for others, and can give very good penetrative passes.
He took up good positions on top of box, his touch was sharp, had one goal bound strike blocked.
Set pieces were all very dangerous and got one great assist from that.
Once his speed is back then we can see more movements like what he showed for the goal.

He did look sluggish still out there but his movements were smart & looked pretty comfortable in middle of the pitch, where poise & vision & game smarts matter more than just running & hustling ..!
Hopefully he gets more run outs in acm/10 role, that’s really where we are lacking badly in TM anyhow .... we got quality wing attackers & CF coming outa wazoo ..!

As I said earlier I’m so glad for him that he got a goal and assist tonight. He has had such bad luck since he left Ostersunds, you can see the impact It has had on his fitness.
If he had gone to a better club than Amiens and has better luck, he would have been definitely in a top league now smashing them in.
