With the omissions that is a standard squad list, would have liked to have seen Zahedi in the squad to try him out after his good form lately.

With this being friendlies I think it is important that the manager gets to see as many players as possible play that will be used in the World Cup qualifiers and also chance for the team to meet up. I’m hoping though that Sardar gets a bit of a rest too saying he isn’t fully fit.

Interesting list. I’m curious to see who will be on the final list for the qualifiers. I think we will see the likes of Rezaeian, Ebrahimi, ARJ, PAG, Beiro, Ansarifard and possibly Dejagah. This list appears to be secondary/trial list. We will see...

If you mean this photo then I doubt it. If that wa sthe case mehdi would be in same situation. I feel like the reason he wasn't invited was cuz of the fact that he plays in arab league. Thats the only reason

Ramins exclusion is almost certainly because of his photo going around on Instagram, based on form he is still our starting right back. Decent list. I wish Omid was included though.

Exclusion of certain players does not necessarily mean they are out for good.

There must be certain logic in the selection which is partly driven by Covid/Travel restrictions/availability, partly infusion of fresh faces, partly experience and finally injection of youth keeping an eye on WC2022.
