Looked good. Won a defensive header, got fouled once, and put a dangerous ball into the box. He’s not very tall but it seems he can use his head well. He scored with his head in U17 WC and also his TM debut. Came close to scoring twice in a Fener game too.

I guess he’ll probably play with U21s again this weekend and some minutes with the first team. He never played with youth teams with Fener did he? Just thrown into first team trainings and then loaned to a 2nd division team. Wtf kind of development is that for an 18 year old?

Still fine because he is extremely athletic and has similar jumping ability to azmoun.

Great for him to get experience in europa league as well.

this is exactly what he needed at his age, just get some playing time, and eventually work his way into some starts as well.

Yeah he does look shorter. He's probably really like 5'10. Athletes are always listed taller than their actual heights. He's listed at 6'0 on wikipedia.

Nonetheless 5'10 is still average/tall for a footballer. Neal Maupay, Dries Mertens and Messi are all 5'6. A lot of South American players are in the 5'5 to 5'7 range. Allahyar is a physical beast at ST.

My worry with Allahyar is can he develop those technical skills that will take him next level? His physique will only take him so far (Kaveh Rezaei level), but if he can become a better dribbler he can become a world class player in the future!
