I was surprised he flew out in all honesty after his knock, good to see he will be given some extra time off before the Zenit game. Will only benefit him, we have seen it too often before with our players over the last couple of seasons trying to do too much too soon after an injury or being brought back too soon by their managers.

Plus we know what he does and he is a guaranteed starter, I would like to see Rezaei play up front and see that link up play that he has with Gholizadeh from Belgium.

I’m happy sardar is going back - lessens his injury risk and that means either saman or kaveh will get a starting chance which both (very unfairly) have had little of over the last few years. Win-win if you ask me

well I doubt sardar wanted to leave himself wanted to leave. He lives for these NT days and is catching up to 4th and 3rd place in top scorer list. But as mentioned he did have a knock a couple weeks ago and zenit will probably be fucked if anything, even minor, happened to him. Im sure it was discussed thoroughly with TM staff. But maybe he could have got 30 mins from bench and remained with team to get more session with the boys in all together.

Kaveh deserves his chance to start but he needs to take it. I remember he had a very average lame performance vs togo in one of his starts pre WC and maybe that contributed to CQ not taking him. His drop off is a lot from azmoun in terms of quality but at least he will put in a shift.

ITs also important imo we go back to 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 to combat their super strong midfield. Taremi on left is key putting in the yards he did with CQ system. They have an excellent RB, who is their captain and starter for CL side Rennes. He scored a brilliant goal charging up the right vs ivory coast and it is key he is tracked.

It is time to see Kaveh in action. We badly need alternatives to Taremi/Azmoun upfront.
Kaveh and Moharammi need playing time with TM to emerge as credible alternatives.

Was really disappointed with Niazmand against Uzbek. I don't rate Abedzadeh very highly despite his incredible shows in Portugal here and there.

Hopefully non-TM material like Nurafkan, Nemati, Nouroalhi, Amiri (good player with PP but need to be phase out) don't get much playing in the next game.

I like Kaveh but our problem is not Azmoun and Taremi, it is our attacking midfield and play making midfield. As long as Azmoun and Taremi are playing, Kaveh will be the 3rd striker.

Sardar left TM camp early because Zenit club requested his early return and Skocic agreed. I would have loved to see him score against Mali yet I think this is good for the long term relationship with the club and perhaps for Sardar's health.

the more I think about it the more I think the zenit thing with sardar was not fitness related.

If it was they would have just had him on mins restriction agreement with TM or something. Plus every euro country is playing 3 games this international break, many on wednesday. TM will only play 2 and last match on a tuesday.

I am fairly sure this is due to the Covid scare with mali, which is kind of understandable but also kind of stupid when you consider russia itself is a hotspot right now. Anyways, IFF did not have to release him. I wonder if skocic it did this out of courtesy (he met with zenit management and Semak back when he visited sardar a few months ago) or maybe Zenit gave IFF some cash or something.

Anyways as I mentioned before, lets see what kaveh can do. Its time he show himself for TM
