Apparently Mali trained on the next door ground to TM.
      It seems on.
Mali against Ghana had only 4 on the bench!!!! it appears that they brought only 19 to this camp. Bissouma, who plays for Brighton, was invited but never joined their camp... So possible that they invited more but some refused the invite. So they showed up with 19, and after 4 got covid, they were down to 15. In the training picture of the Mali team from yesterday, I only counted 15 players again...

God damn it. I had taken this week off from work. I was really looking forward to watching the game.
Out of interest, you took work off for this match?

the new ones that tested positive were not players but staff.

They would have 4 subs again, just no coaches. WE can loan them Vahid for the match. He can put it on his resume after too

I think in the end it might just go on because no players tested positive again. The ones that did last week were quickly isolated from squad and so were all the players who were in close contact with them.

Given that both teams are already in turkey and training, and less than 24 H before the game its really not certain it will be cancelled.

It's actually not as clear cut as that.

Of course, players and staff are constantly together and the fact that the staff has tested negative prior and positive now is concerning.

The incubation period is 14 days and people can test negative up to the end of that point.
Some of the players who have tested negative could still be carrying the virus and show a positive result later as the staff members have.

Playing the match would show lack of professionalism from IFF and lack of ability to protect the players and staff in my opinion but considering the parties involved, I wouldn't put it past them to play regardless.
Obviously, as a fan I want to see our team play but at the same time I want to protect our players for long term success.

Thats why I said its not certain it gets cancelled. The evidence for both is there.

Also the decision to play the match does not rest with IFF. It rests with turkish authorities and a FIFA representative. So IFF has no say in the matter. Here their professionalism or protection of team is irrelevant, as it should be.

Wow is this the same Ghana that lost to 3-0 to Mali?

                    Haha, LOL 5-1! .

                    https://old.reddit.com/r/soccer/comm..._is_seriously/

They apparently are trying to loan out all their players to Eupen to so that they can play a season together before the World Cup. (I will be fair and give them credit that they are at least trying their best to improve their NT with whatever resources they have access to.)

This is their Gold Cup group. They should at least target making the semis, the only teams posing a threat to them are US and Mexico (maybe Costa Rica...?)

well this is fucked. At least we had 1 friendly and skocic got to train team in good facilities in antalya.

Any way we can just say fuck it and do a friendly with them behind closed doors?

OR maybe with a local turkish side. Antalyaspor are ok.

If we have 22 players left, we should have an Iran A vs Iran B televised game at the exact same time and using the official Refs... Hashemian can coach the B team!!!
