Lets be realistic People. With Dragan we won the lottery! IFF ( Incompetent Football Federation) neither has the brain, the desire nor the money to attract anyone better! You k now it, I know it! You want better?.. Then Regime change to a Patriotic Leader who loves Iran, Loves Iranians, IS IRANIAN and will work for Irans Benefit and progress at all fronts , football included! This regime is all about incompetence and thievery! they are here to plunder , NOT advance Iran's prestige, so having said this, IMO Skocic is the best we can do for now and no one can do better, so lets FULLY support the guy! He delivered what we truly hoped for, but never truly believed we could achieve, so let the guy be, lets see how better he evolves in the coming months as he know his stuff and knows Iranian football and the players....

As far as I know, Ahmad Noorollahi is the only TM player who has openly supported extension of Skocic's contract. He said today (see below) that from the moment Skocic joined TM, we have observed a positive atmosphere at TM and he has had an extraordinary performance from technical and managerial perspective.

Really like to see Yasin Salmani called up moving forward. He is 19, 6ft+, very technically and physically gifted CM/CAM who was star for Sepahan throughout youth age groups. Some great goals already this season.
From here on out emphasis should be dedicated to how we can build a team capable of achieving a defined objective at WC2022. IMO, biggest gift CQ gave to iranian football was bringing up standards. 4 pts from the group of Morocco,Spain, and Portugal and just a few CM from finishing top means that naturally we should look to get more than 4 pts with better players and more experience this time around, not be satisfied with participation and inshallah...
To achieve this we need to look at how we will improve playmaking capabilities of the team while maintaining the defensive foundation CQ built. Players like gholizadeh, ghoddos, and maybe a profile like salmani will be key for this and we need to figure how to be more efficient in our playing style and really settle on a strong identity in the next 1.5 years. We wont show up to WC and pass anybody off the park, we will again need to play cautious and very organized, but now we have players+ should integrate more players capable of really hurting opposition when we get the ball.
For midfield I like to see 2 players in each position to fill a midfield 3...
Defensive Mid : Ezatolahi, Ali Karimi
Box 2 Box : Amiri, Nourollahi
Attacking Mid : Ghoddos, Salmani
This along with finding proper alternative in LB spot, working on PAG+Khalilzadeh defensive combo (BC kanani will not cut it vs the best in the world) should be the primary technical objectives as we move through qualifying.

CQ is the onlyone we could replace Skocic with, since " his foot already fits in the shoe", everybody else, eaven Mourinho would need to go to the fittingprosecc testing out shoes.., so right now we should jst go with Skocic since its to little time if nobody can sneak in CQ. but i wonder how that would affect the team if kicking succesful skocic happened and what signals that would send the players. maybe better spending that contractmoney we wanted to give cq on friendlies, and a good staff around skocic. and then sacrifise al shambools and hope its enough.
Also, offer CQ a deal as a analyst/advisor would be awsome!!.....

If the next round is in a few months and we have to play 10 games in a row in a month, how are we going to get our players from their European clubs? Is this whole month considered FIFA days where clubs have to release the players? If clubs don't release players, this will disadvantage countries with many players playing abroad like Iran, Korea and Japan?

Originally posted by Futbaldoost View PostThe format is yet to be determined by FIFA and AFC. There are reports that AFC favors home and away matches if Kovid is under control and I doubt the validity of the reports. If FIFA and AFC decide that all the matches have to be played in a central fashion maybe in rounds of five or even one round of ten, then all those days will be designated as FIFA days (remember this is WC qualifying) and all the clubs supposed to honor those. We shall see how things will turn out. Varzesh3 has a report coating Al Eghtesadieh newspaper that claims it has dates for all the matches starting on September 2, 2021 and ending on March 29, 2022. I don't think there is much credibility to that report like many other reports by Varzesh3.
