Seems like a bunch of bs so far incase anyone is interested. He says all the right things but hard to take anything at face value. lets see if he can do all the things he is preaching about.
Neither are good enough for a Team Melli call-up right now, especially Eckert (when guys like Zahedi, Mehrdad Mohammadi, etc aren't getting called up)
Tafazolli is a very good aerial threat and an ok defender, but he's very very slow. Now he is playing in the 3rd tier of English football. Not good enough for Team Melli either.
Wouldn't mind seeing Tafazolli on Persepolis, although I believe our fellow PP fans would disagree as it would be another foreign contract to deal with
He’s going to replace Morteza who’s injured. Kanaani and Majid Hosseini aren’t anything special either. Kanaani has low football IQ as we saw in the Japan game and Majid Hosseini is a bench warmer in both his club and Team Melli, who got benched in TM for Cheshmi and Kanaani that tells you how much the coaches trust him.
Dennis Eckert can compete with Allahyar for Rezai and Ansarifards place in the future.

So some player playing defense in the 3rd English league is better than Majid who played UEFA Cup and a WC (and is still younger)? Are joking?
Eckert is NO WAY Team Melli material, we are STACKED in attackers. I saw Eckert in his eredivisie season and he is nothing special.
Iran deserves better, TM deserves better. O.Gfrom '97 & still here

These guys are not good enough to play for TM. Regarding Kanaani he is a solid defender and much better than Tafazolli who would make Hossein look like Maldini. Every player, even the best elite players have a few games in their career where they play like crap. You should evaluate his entire body of work, which is definitely more than solid by top Asian standards, don't just take the Japan game where the entire team was bad (including Queiroz and his tactics). Pouraliganji, Khalilzadeh, Kanaanizadegan and Hosseini are our fixed central defenders, now that Pouraliganji is injured Aref Aghasi should replace him. He is a great defender, Ryan is not even good enough to shine his shoes. Aref has the potential to become a key starter for TM in the near future, he deserves it way more than Ryan, just because he plays in "kharej" it doesn't mean he's automatically a better player.
We should not fall in the trap of these Arab mind games. For them to play against us is like playing Italy. And we should play them like the underdog that they are.
