TM had a meeting and dinner with Azizi Khadem (IFF president). IFF website published remarks from Taremi, ARJ and Ansarifard (see below). Taremi thanked Azizi Kahdem for all the support of all the teams and said he even has talked to futsal and beach football players and they all have expressed appreciation for all the support Azizi Khadem is giving all the teams. Taremi also apologized again for what he said against the media in TM news conference earlier today that resulted from him not knowing that the conference was being done virtually.

I don't know for sure but during that meeting Jahanbakhsh, Ansarifard and Taremy has been concerned of their prepration and not adeqate support for TM.

Azizi Khadem during that meeting reveald Mahdavikia will go to Qatar with TM. not sure at what capacity.

Tbh I think it's nuts we're playing in Azadi. Should've done it in Qatar where the COVID risk is way less, we play Iraq soon after there, and facilities are still state of the art. Tehran is like a Delta buffet right now and risking a positive COVID test for our players, and potentially spreading, could set things back majorly.

We already are seeing what happened to Dragan and the rest and it's terrible.

Yes the covid situation in Iran is really bad, but assuming players maintain proper social distancing we should be fine
