let's agree that CQ revolutionized the soccer in Iran. Without him we wouldn't be here now.
No one thought Skocic could do what he did...as you said it was historic...dare to dream. Anything is possible. We have come a long way from parking the bus.
The World Cup draw will also be in April so depending on what comes out of there we might get a few friendly invites. Similar to what Russia did when they got grouped with Egypt and Saudi.
I am watching the game replay. I am impressed by the way we play with just 2 trainings, covid and main players not there.
Honestly we just lack better euro league/club for our players (specially mf and def) + good friendlies to reach top 10/15. It is also keys to avoid amateur sootis (like the unnecessary shol pass from amiri almost leading to iraq equalization)

TBH the only individuals that don't agree with this are people who have a personal dislike for the way Carlos Q had our team play, his tactics, the defensiveness of his approach.
There are also some who don't like him because of the issue with some of their favourite players from perspolis not being invited to the team - Again, a personal / bias-related issue
He clearly revolutionized our football and the attitude of our players, who are now going to Europe at ages like 18, 20, instead of 26-28 year olds like it typically was before Carlos instilled this mentality in our players.
Now, we're still seeing the benefits of his approch.
This is only mentioning one of the things he's done, among the SEVERAL other things he's done to help and revolutionlize our football.
