UAE played well and hard. They had shown some sparks earlier duing the qualifiers. I guess this new coach has been able to turn something on again. I still doubt they will be able to beat Australia in June but they have a higher chance now.

We are better than Korea.
I think if we did not shoot ourselves in the foot against Korea by weird lineup we would not conceded 2 goals.

It's fair to say in such group stages safter 10 games if a team goes on top most likely is a better team of group.
We are better than Korea in all area except concede one more goal .

Luckily for him, we have a disaster as a coach, and he took advantage of that.

Now which actions S.Korea take or don’t take regarding their coach after this, has nothing to do with us.
Nor has their result against the UAE.

We only care about our own success in the WC. For us to have a successful WC, Skocic must leave ASAP.

good thing we wasted entire qualification with hajsafi, nour, sarlak and only tried out mehdipour on last day.

Midfield of Ezatolahi (WITH MAJOR F'IN FITNESS PLAN), Mehdipour/Amiri, ghoddos/yasin is the way to go. Midfield is our WEAKEST line by far, and needs extreme work to correct before WC.

Still shows how weak we are in midfield. Ezzatollahi being the only one above 50%.

Once we face higher quality opposition in the WC, what will the duells won rate be then with the current cast? A real worry!

Skocic sticked too much on nour and sarlak, I don't see how he will flush them

Hah call it what you want. Poll suggests over 50% of the people here want him out.

TM also topped the whole qualifiers with the highest number of points. Even if Saudis win today they will only have 23 points and Japan ended its campaign with 22. The other interesting fact is that until today, Korea was the only undefeated team of the whole qualifiers. Not any more.

Now we need a decent draw and decent WC preparation.

Do you know if the raw numbers are available?

Not surprised about Ezatollahi, but the Mehdipour numbers should have a caveat due to limited playing time.

Also Sarlak is not a duel winner. He doesn't even do that in Persepolis.

Most people don't enjoy the games under Skocic, but they also don't live in la la land, thinking IFF is able to get another coach.

thats the issue with sarlak. He doesnt do that, or do anything else either. His passing range is literally 5 meters, all sideways and slow. Out of possession he is slow, he doesnt win duels, he is not physically very strong, he cant shoot from distance, he cannot dribble out of pressure.

Quite literally a nothing player.

One quick fix skocic can make is immediate discontinuation of the following TM experiments : Hajsafi (goodbye, adios, and sayonara), Sarlak, Kamyabinia, Gholami, Faraji.

Agreed on all of these. None of these guys are going to be starters (except Hajisafi maybe

). They're periphery players at best.
