Unfortunately, at this point it is what it is.
We had a chance to shine in a WC held in a venue that doesn't give Europe or South America an advantage, and for the first time gives teams in the middle east a chance, and here we are facing an uphill battle to qualify.
The players will just have to pull together and pull off a miracle.

Its a tough position, but we dont need a miracle. We should be able to beat Hong Kong and Cambodia fairly comfortably. So this "miracle" is reduced to 2 games va Bahrain and Iraq. Difficult, not impossible.

I'm very interested to see how Bahrain approaches our game, id they pull back too much, they give us opportunities. If they try and press, the difference will be if Skocic prepared the team to beat it.

If we get a goal in the first half, we SHOULD NOT hold back, while in their negative mental state we need to PUNISH Bahrain with a 2nd

As we're talking about prior TM coaches, CQ did not get the South Africa coaching position that was in the works. It was odd that they postponed the announcement ("due to COVID"), and then announced a different coach (the Belgian Hugo Broos). Negotiations must have fallen apart just prior to the announcement. I'm sure CQ was asking for bullet-proof assurances, as he learned his lesson being burned over and over by IFF.

I doubt this is scientifically possible, but even if they plan to play on a muddy field under 110 degree weather our boys will be ready.

Here’s a list of do’s and not to do’s in Bahrain:

1) Take food and water to Bahrain.

2) Don’t purchase anything from hotels, or accept food/drinks from anyone who knows who they are.

3) Take earplugs for sleeping, in case their fans make noise outside of their hotels.

4) Have the team prepared in Kish in case they don’t provide TM/provide them with a bad training facility.

5) Have 1 Team Melli staff member (not a famous person who people can recognize) purchase food/drinks for everyone from outside the hotel facility.

6) Take EXTRA pair of cleats just in case they forget and their sports stores decide to lie/not sell shoes.

7) Be well rested. Sleep is very important after the long season from Lige Bartar and from European leagues.

8) Take vitamins, emergency aid kits etc..

9) Watch Iran vs. Bahrain 2001 match/Iran vs. Bahrain 2019 match/Iran vs. Iraq match 2019 match..

10) be prepared for the absolute WORST case scenarios. You guys may think what webmaster said was a joke, but even by someone pretending to be a corrupt official during training. Start your pickup game by being down 0-1 or 0-0 and blow the whistle at minute 80. Play for 10 minutes. Have Mehdi Ghaedi roll around on the grass like fish out of water pretending he’s got a heart attack. Create these situations and just be prepared for the worst.

This was funny. But the sad thing is that THIS (Bahraini players pretend like they have been shot!) WILL HAPPEN if god forbid, they are winning or in a tie. They have no honor, no self-respect, and no sense of sportsmanship.
