^ If Kafashian had the material to become president, then Ali Karimi has it too. In most developed countries there are their football stars who become the head of their federations people like Platini or Beckenbauer, but in Iran they think the IR agents are better than heroes like Karimi? no way. He is 100 times better than these Rant eaters and IR thugs.

He is loved and trusted by the fans and I couldn't say the same about Kafashian or other IR agents. People hate them. If Daei would join, he would get more votes but he didn't. Daei is against the system so he won't join anything that is government based.

You’re right. Especially when he bought Shahrokhi in as head coach.

Looking back we were very harsh on him, especially considering how Aliabadi destroyed him and Iranian football for at least one World Cup cycle because they wanted to be Monday morning armchair managers.

^ Bisavadi in IR is a blessing so I don't think that is a big problem.

Said Azari (Foulad President) withdraw from the IFF election on favour of Ali Karimi. I always actually liked this guy and was hoping that he would be head of IFF someday if we were supposed to have an none-footballer as IFF Head.

                    Classy instagram post.

Azari is a very good CEO. Shame he won't run.

Azari is a classy guy.... I know him very well personally he invited me to have lunch with the Zob Ahan squad a few years back - shame he withdrew. He is very forward thinking and very progressive in a lot of ways (planning, building, sets big goals, etc.).

yea that was a real SOB and by far and away the biggest stumbling block to advancement of our football on all front during his reign at SM..!! He was the main manipulating asshole pinning AK8 vs Ali Daie, taking full advantage of both their hotheaded tendencies and their general lack diplomatic skills and political savvy ..!

Not to mention he fired Dadkan and Branko after the Iran-Portugal game and got the federation banned.
He was the classic besaz befroosh fatass who says everything and knows nothing.

Ahmadinejad also had to be an idiot and due to his holocaust statements, TM had good friendlies against Romania and Ukraine cancelled.

As Perspolisi as I am and as much pride as I would take in seeing a Perspolisi taking charge of the IFF, but I would have loved to see Azari getting the job. He is one of the most qualified amongst other candidates and his peers.

Precisely, mind you he was Ahmadinejad’s crony and if I am not mistaken due to Dadkan’s beef with Ahmadinejad, Aliabadu turned into his sworn arch enemy, doing everything to the best of his ability to take Dadkan down and he eventually did, because he also had an eye on snatching the head of IFF position!
