I'm surprised Mahdavikia signed up to be vice-president. He is a very professional guy who I would frankly want to be the IFF president, but he's also very busy at Kia FC and his other job at Hamburg SV.

Fully agreed. But Karimi most likely will get into ongoing fights with the IR establishment and then ghahr mikone mire, hence MK replacing his former boss and become the new head of IFF which will be a dream come true for our football.

Unfortunately that's a stingy truth. He was one of our least ambitious talented players. Otherwise with little ambition and thirst to progress and shine, he could have turned into a total world class and Maradona-alike players. It's a shame he never appreciated his own amazing talent and potentials. His former manager (Kazemi?) used to say that all the time!

Apparently according to the Federation constitution the candidates must present their application in person. Mahdavi kia is in Germany and can't be there and today is the last day.

But in any legal situation a legal representative should be able to act on behalf of a person. But then again I have not seen the constitution to see if this is allowed. If not then Mahdavi kia can not be a candidate.

Ali Karimi has no education, no skill, no prior experience to run the federation..... BUT on a second thought who in Iran has the credential for the post they occupy.!!! So, i guess it should be okay for him to run for the presidency ..... how bad can it get !!! it is already at the bottom.

Ali Karimi is one of the greatest TM players that I love BUT only as a Footballer. His character is disgusting and ignorant and childish and stupid and .... the list goes on.

He had stupid fight with Ref ! Got banned for 1 year! We all thought he was a kid so he won't do stupid things again.

Then he got into fight in TM back in 2006 ! Ruined our WC campaign!

Then he had fight with Ali Daei, and started disrespecting him.

Then he started All the "begam begam begam show" where he claimed he will reveal all the corruptions in IFF. The next day he went to a room and came back and said "all i wanted to say was that kafashian is a good guy"

Then he started fight with CQ and tried to get Iranians against him on National TV! Then tried to play the victim when CQ called him coward!

I think I missed some more but thats enough to show his disgusting character.

Saeid Azari which was possibly the best Option to lead our IFF, didn't sighn up in favor for this *** edited***! So ALI Karimi ruined this one again ! Karimi is not even qualified to coach nevermind becoming IFF president.
