    Ahmad Aljabouri

    Persian: احمد الجبوری

Born on June 2, 1993 in Susangerd, Iran. He has played in forward position for several teams.

Presently he plays for Shahr Khodro. Against Sepahan, on January 30, he scored two beautiful goals which were detrimental in his team's win. The coach, Rahmati was delighted by his performance.

I am surprised no one has mentioned his name or made a thread about him. I am happy I watched his good performance.

I think he saw Webbie's thread about Taremi and gained some inspiration.

What is the ranking of Sepahan? One cannot expect to improve our football by the above comments.

As of Jan. 30, Sepahan is in third position. It is not like that Aljabouri scored against Machine-Sazi.
Moreover, those who watched the game, would know the value of his goals. He performed very well and won the match for Shahr-e Khodro.

If he’s 27 and most of us on here haven’t heard his name till now, he isn’t noteworthy in terms of Team Melli currently or in the future. Wish him the best and hope he can maybe earn a move to one of the Sorkhabi clubs but I think that would just about be his peak

The value of a striker in terms of how great he is should not be assessed solely on the basis of how many goals he scores or even the quality of his goals. It should be on how hard they work in the game and how much they contribute to the plan. I haven't seen Aljabouri play but if he does work hard and plays effectively and helps the rest of the team on the pitch. then why not? it doesn't matter if he is 27 and started playing well.
We need strikers who work hard in the game rather than the ones who just hover around expect to be served easy balls they can shoot at the keeper hoping to score hat tricks.

              Ahmad is a cool kid.

I am glad I came across this thread and discovered this video. Watch the video. Ahmad was not fortunate like some other players that come from a more financially stable background or that have families that are doing well financially well in Iran and can afford to support their kids. Losing his father at such a young age meant that the mother had to play both the role of mother as well as father in order to be able to provide for her son. Poor kid lost his father at the age of 14, yet still managed to be successful as a minority in Iran, making it as a professional footballer. Not only that, but he made it to university as well. Ahmad's coaches have nothing but praise for him, and he comes across as both professional and humble in the interview. I hope his hard work pays off and someday he makes it to TM (even if it's for a friendly).

              Go Ahmad!

I think he is 28, not 18. Another late bloomer due to lack of infrastructure.

I don't understand the negativity in this thread.

For one, some of you act like 27 is really old to play football, what world do you guys live in?
Second, who cares about how old somebody is?! Amiri is 33, and he runs more than any other player on the field.
