Lol well well well..
It seems that the Bahraini's have weaseled their way into having home advantage as well as the change of date for their match against Iran in the World Cup Qualifiers.
Every continents confederation has corruption. But AFC has got to be the biggest disgrace in the history of the beautiful game with their blatant anti-Iran decisions which we've seen time and time again. Same as in 2016: Iran vs Syria in the mud.
Mr. Skocic, welcome to how Iranian football deals with the Asian Football Confederation. A federation that only supports Iranian football when it wants to, continuing to collect cash from the Persian Gulf Arabs.
This is BLATANT against Iran's national football team. It's up to Khadem to show us how he can handle the situation.
I smell Saudi/Israeli/Bahraini friendship haven't an influence on this matter and it is NOT right. AFC is a disgrace.

As Qatar will be winning their group, it's actually the 5 best-placed group runner-ups that go through to the third round. That means only 3 runner-ups will fail to go through.
GD is used to decide between runner-ups where level on points so our Cambodian friends have gifted us what is effectively a +1 bonus point to our tally i.e. if we finish on 16 points, we effectively are on 17 points because our GD will be superior to other teams on 16 points.
A quick look at the the lilely runner-ups in each group...
Group A: China can very realistically finish runner-ups on 19 points.
Group B: Kuwait and Jordan both have to play Australia. Seems unlikely they will finish higher than 16 but possibly 17 if they can win their 2 games and draw Australia.
Group D: Uzbekistan likely to finish on 16 should they fail to beat Saudis. Otherwise, Saudis finish on 17.
Group E: Oman likely to finish on 18/19.
Group F: No side can finish higher than 16 points.
Group G: Very open, 4 teams can finish on 17+.
Group H: Very unlikely any team finishes on 16 or above.
As you can see, 2 group runner-ups can't get more than the 16 point mark so odds of us qualifying with 16 points is really very high.
With that knowledge, and assuming HK and Cambodia don't do us any more favours (which is definitely not impossible), Bahrain is not so much 'must win' as it is 'must not lose'. If we win, a draw against Iraq will do. If we draw, Iraq becomes must win. If we lose, we close PFDC and do not speak of our national identity for 4 years.
It's all set up to really be the most fascinating 12 days for a long time and I can't wait.

Bro please don't make this into ifs and buts. We need to win all games. Because let me tell you what would happen to us if we get 16 points.
A.) Saudi vs uzbekistan is their last game. and let me tell you for sure that they will lose to uzbeks just to kick us out.
b.) kuwait also has a huge GD margine (14+) . They got chinese taipei and nepal . easily super pass our GD. They are now the host
c.) AFC and arabs will do anything just to kick us out.
Here is a reminder of what they tried to do to us back in 2013 (WC14) . Now imagine if we had this mentality . CQ said its must win game and we won it (against south korea). So Im saying this again Its a must win game against both iraq and bahrain.
Man this is so depresing ! From being the 1st team to qualify to world cup to becoming "salavat befrest , enshalah mishe" team to only qualify for third round. SOME PP fans are to blame.

Scenario A is possible above but there is very small probability that Kuwait will have a superior GD to us and sit on 16 points as we'll be winning 2 games (1 against Cambodia) and drawing one whilst they will be winning 2 games (1 against Taiwan) and losing 1.
Regardless, it's important to understand the scenario clearly because if we get a 93rd minute corner against Bahrain at 0-0, I don't want Beiravand to be getting sent up for it because Iranians have got all emotional and gheyrati about it being a MUST WIN game and risking a Bahraini counterattack goal that would send us out when we know that even after a draw, qualification would likely remain in our own hands.

Fuck all scenarios, we need to win all 4 games period.

Right now i'm stuck in an European country where there is a night curfew, total lockdown and the hospitals are full. So what are we talinkg about here? Even if your point was true then the qualifiers should have been played on a neutral venue as you said. Instead we see that the games are being held in Bahrain, which is a clear sign that the Arabs want to cheat their way to the next qualification round (as always). If IFF is smart they will refuse to play in Bahrain for political reasons just like with Saudi Arabia. They have a legal case due to the poltical hostilities between the two countries, just like with the Saudi's.

If this letter is real, that is the best written piece I have ever seen IFF write.
The only lie in the entire 10 pages was at the end:
"We are confident that the AFC has always conducted its business of running football in our vast continent. There is no doubt that the overwhelming pieces of evidence and undisputed facts within
this dossier will lead you to revisit your decision and award the hosting rights of the remaining matches
of the Joint FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ / AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Group C Qualifier to our federation."
in a fair manner"
Any chance we take the decision to CAS?
