Everyone's saying that Iran is the covid hotspot of the Middle East etc, I'm not denying that covid hit Iran hard but are we seriously ignoring the fact that population of our country has a massive effect on that?
Food for thought:-
Total cases per 1 million population:
Iran - 20,434 Bahrain - 74,522
Population density per kilometre squared:
Iran - 48 Bahrain - 1,831

Yes Iran was hit hard by covid and there's no denying that, but Bahrain and other neighbouring countries have also been hit significantly considering their size and population!

I'm so glad the letter has included stats I also mentioned on this forum a while back. If an idiot like me can see that with a simple check online, it's amazing how the so called regulators etc of the AFC can just ignore such facts...

As DJ mentioned, office of FIFA general secretary, FIFA council members, organising committee for FIFA competitions and FIFA governance committee and review committee have all been cc'd in the letter. I don't think a separate letter to FIFA is needed just yet, but the next step if AFC fail to do anything would be to take it to FIFA and then take it to CAS

agreed we need to make them hear us regardless of the outcome.

We need a legal organization to send AFC and FIFA when they work against our interest(s).

This matter and our grievance and complaint should not be dropped. We must pursue this even if we win all of our matches and qualify to the next round with no problem. There is clearly evidence of corruption and if pursued and investigated properly all will come to light. Corruption and buying off AFC and FIFA and referees is a rot in this sport that needs to be rooted out.

This is the biggest spit in not just the face of Iran’s national football team. This is a spit in the face of ALL Team Melli fans, both inside and outside of Iran.

Although Iran isn’t perfect, Iran didn’t make this political. AFC made it political. We need to stand up against the corruption and the injustice.
