he didnt seem all so terrible the last few run-outs with TM..!!? at least he doesnt get lost in the scheme of play and go missing for long periods but his play-making, ball retention are limited, needs a more formidable and physically stout partner to shine best ..!
in fact, Much Improvement are required in terms of player selection in this area of the pitch..! Saman and Saeed will certainly be a huge improvement over the lot at the current camp..! Ebrahimi used to be a formidable option as well but piree is catching up with him and not sure how he'd fair after a spell of club play in wasteland..!? gholi looks lightweight still and much better suited closer to the wings imo..!!? but he is super clever and quick-footed .... could be a good alternative if he is well in tune with and could use quick combo with his surrounding cast.. ..!
i also feel like Dejagha was still serviceable enough until we polished up a younger alternative..!
HajSafi is jock of all positions and master of None, been Avg @ best in his later years and super-soorakh when playing vs Formidable opponents or in sensitive-outcome and highly competitive matches ..! early on AK showed incredible promise for the position with great poise, vision, game smarts but ultimately he proved way too kond/slow to react and keep up with pace of more competitive matches.... probably looks good in PGL still ?but not a promising international level ..!
Nemati looked the more simply not TM material type in the last run outs he got..!! he looked rather promising to me once when he played as LW @ PP in advanced stages of ACL..!! i think that was the guy..??
with no recognizable (to me at least ) RBs in this squad, i always figured that Dragan was going to go for a 3-5-2 sorta of a line-up .... in order to better tap-in to our Winger riches..!!?
if fit Bey is the obvious starter choice in goal...!

Not sure Dragan would show his hands by putting his strongest side against Syria in a friendly he knows being watched and under the Bahrainis and Iraqis watch.
I expect him to mix it right from the start. Say Ansarifard, Sayadmaesh, Salmani, .... with likes of Azmoon and Taremi in the second half

I will always admire omid ebrahimi for playing like a lion in WC2018 but hes not needed anymore. he was clumsy in both games against bahrain and iraq. anyone is an upgrade and I would only use omid if we are defending a lead and need someone to come track defensively for a bit near end of a game
