norafkan is weak as CM. He has been very good as a LB.

Great job overall. Beiro has a MOTM performance on defense and offense. Azmoun and Taremi duo was solid, Taremi just unlucky today not to score. Karim’s goal was sublime.

bro this was not a great job at all. This was horrific. Our overall play and gameplan has not been that clueless for a decade.

The key word was “overall”. With no friendlies in ages, new coaching staff that hasn’t had any major games under its belt, etc.

this proved that there is a LOT of work to be done, but a few fixes to the lineup and tactics and we'll be just fine

                    Beiranvand MOTM
Majid should have been given minutes
3CMs very big problem area - Saeid and Saman need to come in here asap
Full Backs - Nourafkhan and Nemati not good enough at all - why is Salmani starting RWB
                    Quality of opponent very weak

We have many wonderful players individually but they need more work together. Most should be freed from their clubs by mid May. We need at least two friendlies prior to Hong Kong to build up team chemistry. We won on individualism today. Poor passing, sloppy play. Great individual technique.

Thank you diz jaan for one of the few positive assessments of the match today. It is great to have high expectations of our TM yet some of the comments here are just uncalled for. I agree that Ehsan Hajsafi does not belong on TM and we saw a drastic improvement when Omid replaced him on the pitch yet calling him "amaleh" on this forum is just pure disrespectful of all the work he did in the past. Who are we to call him amaleh and BTW what is wrong with being an amaleh, in a sense we disrespect many of our hardworking compatriots while insulting one of our players. The positives were obviously Beiro and the fact that on a day that Syria was able to dominate most of the first half, our defense held up. Again on a day that Taremi and Sardar were not at their best, they were still dangerous and between the two of them they scored. The other sliver lining was Jallali who at 22 was such a solid replacement for Milad and was more effective in helping the offense as a left wing back. The negative was many inaccurate passes and the defensive midfielders who were way under par. Skocic should stop calling up Ehsan. He has been done for a while and he has become a liability with his errors and lack of sizable impact in the midfield and as a skipper. Amiri was good and Taremi will get it back soon. TM needs more friendlies and the speed of the game should be increased. Overall, it was great that we had a week of camp and respectable friendly as part of our prep.

                        Go TM!

No way we are making the WC with Scocic at the helm. If we somehow miraculously make it to the next round, we will need a new coach. But that probably won’t happen, as all the dalals would point to scocic’s results in the previous round.

This game was pretty much a disaster. Do not get fooled by the result. It is deceptive:

                            1) This game alone demonstrates Skokic is no CQ. With pretty much the same pool of players, CQ managed to create a team that was virtually unbeatable in Asia. It excelled in organization and discipline. Today's game had nothing of its sort. No organized pressing, instead individual spurts ahead, no crisp passing, instead mindless bekesh ziresh. When your goalie creates more goal opportunities than any of your field players, you have every reason to worry.

                            2) Did you have the feeling there was a clear tactical formation? How many times did Sardar help with the buildup? If that was by design, sth which we saw already under Wilmots, that's a poor use of Sardar's qualities as a striker. If by desperation because he and Taremi weren't getting any service, that demonstrates the lack of organization. Similarly, on numerous occasions, TM's defense left a Syrian player unmarked in TM's own box. A more capable opponent surely knows how to capitalize on that.

                            3) From all the new players introduced, none stood out. Now that's always difficult when your team does not have a coherent formation, but the inclusion of so many IPL players raises some questions, especially when their selection comes at the expense of players like Ezatolahi.

There is little time left. Skocic has a lot of work to do. Unfortunately, we can't be sure he is the right one to do it.

LOL. Only on PFDC do we call for the sacking of the coach after 1 friendly and call it a worse TM performance in a decade after winning 3-0.
