    Iran vs Kuwait 1998 WCQ

    I found highlights from these 2 games. TM really seemed to play exciting football back then( too young to remember, been following TM since 2004.)

    Can't believe Bagheri missed that chance in the Tehran game.
    Also, does anyone have highlights from Iran-Bahrain in 2001? Not the 3-1 loss but the 0-0 game in Tehran?

    TM had such bad discipline and defense then.
    Zero shape.
    We just tried pushing the ball forward in any matter and tactically smart teams would figure us out. Ivic did miracles to fix the team for WC98.

          Thanks a lot for these. Brings back memories from my younger days. I will never forget the 1-1 game. It was a Friday night. We were at my grandparents' house and we had lost hope by 90th minute so we went to start the car to go back home and suddenly we heard cheers from the house and saw that Bagheri had scored in the final minute!

            My first WCQ games i could watch, started following TM from 1995.
            Iran deserves better, TM deserves better.

              Shitty defense, and gassed out by 75th minute. 1998 WCQ campaign shaved a good few years off my life span.

                I was actually gonna comment about our DF line. It was litterally Solakh back then, also Lots of "bekesh ziresh bebinim chi mishe" tactic was used. Even during Branko our DF line was really really poor. When CQ came to iran that was his first mission to fix and he did it perfectly.

                Apparently Skocic wants to use 3 DF line instead of 4. which is very scary if you ask me. I hope it doesn't cause any problem.
