Well that would be unfair because NK was actually a strong team and giving 3 points to the remaining teams would be unfair for those who played and lost to them. and if they give 3 points to all teams it would be also unfair as the runner up get 6 points for nothing and qualify as best runner up and that would be unfair to the other runners up I suppose.

There is a togetherness about this team , no funny talk in interviews and fully prepared with a good training camp to get them back together again. They have to get out of their head any talk about how unfair things have been (which it has been) and just focus on this game.
The addition of Bagheri is a good one and one that I think will work psychologically for the players. Also we have the two best strikers in Asian football who are also two of the best strikers in the world at the moment. Instantly we have an advantage over them before the game starts.
Lots of big game experience in our team which the others don’t have. I am so pumped for these games.

yes, i can imagine it right now! its so sweet, 0-0 in min 91 against iraq, and Taremi makes an overhead kick goal and sends Iran up to 1 place in the group and in to the next round.

Love the positive attitude. But don't put it past AFC to pull all the stops to slow TM's roll. One undeserved red card and we could see our dreams destroyed. The boys need to stay vigilant, focused, and laser sharp.

I gave this a little more thoughts and came to this conclusion:
The best and fairest decision would have been to give 3 points and three goals to the remaining opponents of North Korea. Then at the end of the games look at the position of NK in the group's table. If NK ends up 4th then in determining the best 2nd placed teams to qualify to the next round void the results they have against the 4th position in their respective groups. This would have been the fairest since Sri Lanka is the weakest and 5th in Group H but the results of the second placed in group H against Sri Lanka Particularly the number of goals scored against this weak opponent is not voided. The current decision gives an added advantage to the second placed team in Group H over other groups.

And since arrival of Mafia Man Infantinio; things got even worse for our team. The hosting issues. I don’t want to open the can of worm and bother you guys with that hosting hot discussion since we have to blame our own incompetent federation that provided the opportunities for Bahrain and Arabs to do these to us. And FIFA just watched. What they did to us; they didn’t do to Nazi Germany in 30s!
