The aim is of course 12 points, but there is a chance we'll end up with 10 points.
In that case we'll need help from other teams, and i hope results go our way.
I'm one of those guys that just wants us to qualify for the next round, don't really care how we do it.
We can build the team and work on tactics in the next round. For now, lets just get out of the mess Wilmots put us in.
If we're tied with Iraq in the 80th minute, and only a draw is needed, it would be stupid to risk it all and go for the win. Just my 2 cents.

Totally agree here, this is probably the toughest Test that TM had ever faced. They need to win all the 4 (now 3) remaining games away from home in a hostile environment against Teams like Iraq and Bahrain with whom we have struggled always. If i am not wrong even during the CQ-Era we were only able to defeat Iraq once in a friendly right before the AC 2015 and lost to them twice (1 Friendly Game and the heartbreaking AC 2015) and 1 draw them back in AC 2018 in an evenly balanced match. We faced Bahrain on their turf ones under CQ and were able to escape defeat by a last minute Ali-Asghari-Goal.

Very complicated Situation we are in! We need to make it out of this mess and rebuilt from there, it would be tragic to miss out the WC with these young talented players we have.

I’m not reading too much into the past results against Bahrain, only expect that we would have repeat of their antics if we fall behind them. The game’s Ref antics is another consideration!

Circumstances in this game is entirely different:

A) With Iraq breeding down on both necks, it’s a Do or Die for both teams
B) with Pandemic, no fans are allowed and Bahrain can not count on their support and in some way it takes the pressure off TM.

I think it's good that we all understand how exactly the process works. Based on the below link from IFF, the results against 5th place teams are not discounted for anyone until all the matches are played. At that point and only at that point the 2nd and 5th teams are taken out and the second place teams results are modified by the way of discounting the matches against the 5th place teams ONLY for determining the top 4 second place teams that will make it to the next round. So, the results against the 5th place teams are counted for determining the ranking before finding out which 2nd place teams will make it to the next round. This also means that for ranking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th places, results against the 5th place teams of the groups matter and are counted. So, TM has to go into the match against Cambodia fully prepared to win. Of course, the technical team could start many players who are used as subs or did not play at all to rest the others for Iraq match, yet we should go in to win and score as many times as possible.

Which means if Tajikistan (right now playing Japan and 1-3 behind) can qualify a one the second best teams if they win against Myanmar on the last day of matches!
There a some minor If's but its very likely.
Myanmar has 6 points like like Mongolia due to better GD. But their GD will get crushed in the upcoming matches against Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. If they lose by 6 or more margin in these matches Tajikistan will have 12 points in the 2nd-Best-Groups

We must hope for Myanmar to finish above mongolia or kyrgyzstan finishens above Tajikistan (but without beating Japan). It is possible, its far from sure that Tajikistan and kyrgyzstan Will crush Myanmar. Myanmar Can loose with up to maximum 6 goals total the last two games. Furthermore kyrgyzstan have +6 better GD than Tajikistan. So alot of things have to happen, which is possible, but far from sure

Jordan vs Nepal - anything but a Jordan win. But they most likely Will win, but a maximum 1 goal win Would be very good, though very unlikely

Uzbekistan vs Singapore - anything but a uzbekistan win. They most likely Will win, but a 1 goal victory Would be very good for us

Group G
So many Scenarios
But a draw betweeen UAE and Thailand Would be good
