Taremi should play deep like he does for Porto. Iran will score many goals if he does.
Ghayedi and Jahanbakhsh will create width which expands Hong Kong’s defence and opens space for Taremi to be a playmaker and position himself for through balls.
Gholizadeh will give the forwards constant key passes in this tactic.
Ghoddos and Ezatolahi can take long shots. Azmoun and Taremi can score on the rebounds. Ezatolahi can help Hosseini in defence if Hong Kong causes problems. The fullbacks can also play more central if needed.
Azmoun should be subbed out at half time to avoid suspension.

This game is Iran’s best chance to get their goal difference up.

Given that we are playing 4 games in such a short space of time, one would logically expect that we mix it with HK and Cambodia games and put out our strongest side against BAH and IRQ, however given that TM hasn’t had any warm up games, a way to gel & sync the team that would play BAH is to play the same against HK.
It will be interesting to see what Dragan does. Counting the seconds with anticipation.
