Unfortunately he's the best option in that slot compared to Kamal and Nourollahi.

      Big brain moves
which he will get one for sure, with the way he always runs to the referee with his chest out and appearing ready to head butt the ref. --he is one of the worse captains TM has ever seen.

I don't care about the formation. A team or B team can win hong kong

        Best scenario :

Azmoun is benched (has 1 yellow card)

Ehsan Gets a yellow card and miss Bahrain match.

We win by 2 goals scored by Taremi and Gholizadeh

if Sardar is on Yellow, no fucking way Eskoocher should risk playing him in HK game...!!
beating these scandalous goozoo wanna be ayrabs Bahrainiz at their own ground with all the scandalous shitt theve pulled so far and still will pull, is surest and most sensible means of advancing outa this stage and Sardar must be fully ready to headline our attack in that match ..! he is our best weapon for putting scrap balls in and around the box in the back of the net and i believe it will mostly come down to scoring such scrappers to beat those scandalous mofos..!!

besides Sardar sucks asss at close defensive marking and tackling ... i can totally see him get a stupid Yellow on one of his sloppy tackles during our likely pressings in that match..!!

I would also save Azmun , jahanbakhsh, Taremi for the reason that they has played in cold countries and may still need time to adjust. Playing in rough pitch in hot temperature of 5pm which according to forecast is around 33 degrees is too hot for a blood that is used to cold weather. I live in the Uk and I tell you 25 degrees we have had last few days is too hot for me and start to sweat like a pig to do anything let alone run 90 minutes of competitive match.

I feel the opposite. I think any player that has the potential to play against Bahrain needs to play at least 30 minutes against Hong Kong. Of course, we need to tell Azmoun not to tackle anyone in his 30 minutes... We can't have him get another yellow...

Players need some competitive minutes before trying to play 90 minutes in this weather, so they know how to pace themselves. Practice is always gonna be different than an actual competitive game.

Taremi as the main striker against Hong Kong works and only bring Sardar on as a last resort if we need to.

                    Beiranvand
                    Mohammadi
                    Shoja
                    Hosseini
                    Moharami
                    Ezatolahi
                    Ghoddos
                    Ghaedi
                    Jahanbakhsh
                    Gholizadeh
                    Taremi

Let’s go in and take these guys apart in the first half and then we can start to rest over the second half. Is it 3 or 5 subs allowed?

I think maybe each one, Azmoun and Taremi, play half

Al e Kasir should have been there instead of Rezaie .. speaking of "Al e", it is good to remember late Mr. Al e Safar ... He was so passionate about Iran and hated Bahrain whole heatedly any time Iran played them. God bless his soul.

First 30 minutes of the match is usually high intensity play & more chances of getting cautioned or carded for aggressive plays ..! Don’t mind Sardar come off bench after 65 min or so to get in tune with escoochie tactics & teammates but he must avoid getting too involved defensively & mostly resort to containment than aggressive tacking ..!

Taremi should most definitely start with Azmoun on the bench.

In addition to the point mentioned by others (yellow card, emotions etc.),
as a Busheri and now in Portugal for a while, Taremi is used to the warm weather,
while Azmoun is from Gilan and has been in Russia for a long while (both most definitely colder climate).

So Azmoun will need a bit more time to acclimate anyway. IMO, Azmoun could come on for a min of 20 and max of 30 mins in the second half if needed.
Else, if TM already has a big lead, I'd rather see another forward come on (e.g. Ansarifard).

Also, other key personal should be swapped out around 60mins if we have a huge lead.

I hope Ezatolahi will start and play the whole game.

I also hope than Jahanbaksh will start. He looks to be in good shape and I bet you he is burning to show everyone what he#s got. Deep inside he must be pissed and pumped and got something to prove.

Goaliwise, I#d be fine with either our top two.
