Amiri has been very good again. What really impresses me about him is that he stays extremely calm and collected in front of the opponents box. When he receives a tight ball with opponents really close, he never rushes, actually THINKS and makes smart moves/passes. Very impressive.

Poor half of football - couple of decent chances which Azmoun and Taremi will be disappointed not to have finished. Amiri and Gholizadeh only real bright sparks. Bahrain will sit deeper and deeper as the game goes on so we really need to tAke off Hajsafi (who should be nowhere near that pitch).

Two centre backs have also been poor, especially Shoja who can’t pass a ball at all and keeps getting us in trouble.

I don't even want to rate the rest of the team when this guy is destroying TM in offense and defense. Guys like Sattar Zare and Daei at the end of his career got way more crap than this guy, but he has somehow survived. He might be my least liked TM player of all time.

Like I said, this is Bahrain at home.. It'll be tough beating them in Manama.. I still have hope we can win, but I wouldn't be surprised if we end up tying them and beating Iraq and still going through.
