At least the game starts a couple of hours later than the HK game. Hopefully it will be cooler a bit.

We got eliminated by Bahrain from pursuing our dream to reach the World Cup finals once in the past. This cannot happen again!

The best strategy for our team in the upcoming match is to first understand that this is a sporting event and not a battle ground to take our land back from bunch of Arabs (it is already gone!), and second, to appear cool, composed, taking emotions out of the game and only focusing on playing a simple game by reducing errors, avoiding unnecessary dribbling, personal showmanship, tackles and fouls, not engaging in arguments with the referee or other sides players, and not even celebrating too hard when we score or win the game. Approach it like it is a job that needs to get DONE! ..... This is a simplest and minimum coaching recipe for Iran to come out victorious! It does not need a multi-million dollar coach!
I have been following Iranian sports in many different fields for decades and I can tell you with certainty that the Number 1 factor contributing to all of our losses and disappointments (football, Futsal, volleyball, wrestling, you name it) is one thing and only one thing: Lack of concentration, focus and psychological strength!

CQ was successful, because he identified the root cause.

The level of fear to me is understandable but a bit weird. Even in the highlights kiarash posted we created so many chances and openings, pretty impressive considering we didnt even have a coach for this game, or our best players on the pitch. With a bit more composure in precision we would have scored multiple, something that just by adding gholi, ghoddos,ARJ to the mix is instantly much more likely.

The thing that bothers me from those highlights is our defense and how a few times we let bahrainis get very good looks. This should be minimized by having ezatolahi there who provides a one of a kind screening presence for TM, and also by using moharrami who if he is fully fit is much better defensively than ramin, with much better recovery speed.

Really with a few adjustments I think we should be ok. But the players need to focus solely on technical aspects of the game, dont get dragged into any arguments with their players / Ref (esp ref). Also if bahrainis are in super low block which is probably likely for at least some stretches in the game, we really need milad and sadegh to stop putting in these shitty crosses. This is the easiest way to get a round a deep block, using the space that is left on the very deep sides since the box is congested.

I get neither are very natural crossers, but with their clubs I have seen them many times use their speed to get to the line and provide solid cutbacks into box for the fwds/mids to finish. I would prefer they make these penetrative runs in behind and get fed by saeid, amiri, gholi, ghoddos, etc and then just give hard + low cut backs that unlike their crossing they should be able to execute better.

We want three points against Iran: Komail Al Aswad

Seems that Bahrain is getting cocky after their fluke win against us and the 8-0 against a minnow. I really hope we teach them reality and put them in their place!

Hope Skocic/Hashemian prepare TM mentally for possible grass rolling by Bahrain, specially if they take the lead.
