I've heard from Javad Khiabani that their coach was CQ assistance ! Maybe thats why he has copied the weakest version of CQ game plans! They are a deffensive team and sadly they know how to defend. Watch them against saudi arabia , iraq ..... they defend defend defend and wait for that counter attack or possible penalty ! In those games they had less than 3 chances!
IMO we should keep possesion of the ball and be patient. We should try not to concede and DO not attack with all men. We should play a calm game and wait for that moment too, whether its a set piece or counter attack or simple crosses in the box. We have tall players like Azmoun and taremi that are a beast in the air . The most important thing is that we keep our main focus on not getting scored! if they do then it will be very very very hard to score against them.
Positive points is that we have creative players like Gholizade, Torabi , ARJ , Ghoddos and even ghayedi. They can surely open the game at some point. We just have to be calm and keep possesion fo the ball.

when a team parks the bus the best strategy is to keep possession and work your way into their 18 yards there try to dribble past the defenders right in their 18 yards. They will keep fouling and although the ref is most likely bought by the Bahrainis and won't give penalties but eventually he has to as he just cannot ignore the fouls. The key is try not to go down even after a foul. and definitely not to go down easily and it will eventually come as even a corrupt ref cannot ignore an obvious foul.

BTW, I just noticed a fact about the schedule. Iran has to play 4 games in 12 days... every 4 days... Iraq has to play 3 games in 8 days, every 4 days... Baharain played Combodia, then 4 days later, they play Iran and then 8 days later, they play Hong Kong!!!!!
I guess they know what Iran is going to do to them and they figured they need 8 more days before they can walk properly...

I don't think that would be a problem as we can rest most of the players against cambodia so they can be ready for iraq.

If they do what Hong Kong did, they will recieve what Hong Kong got. Now we know that they have a lot more fire power than Hong Kong. But I could see a 1-0 2-0 victory for Team Melli.

Because this team ain’t losing, lol. Let’s be honest. And I’m not being cocky. I’m just saying I can tell they’re taking this VERY seriously and having the fire power that we’re packing, and the competitive nature of our players, I don’t see them losing. The worst outcome would be a draw.

I think they only play like that against us because they so desperately want to win against us and if they play fair and normal football they struggle. But If I were them I would play fair and a win against us played fair and square is sweeter. None of their wins against us was fair and square and they know it. They know they are cheaters.

Bahrain is 99% out with a draw, even if they finish ahead of us. Their GD is shit, so 16 points won’t be enough for them.

We’ll see, but i think it will be a different game approach from them to what we are used to.
Their lucky win against us last time coupled with their draw against Ukraine have made them overconfident.

If they decide to play more offensive, we’ll get many opportunities to punish them on counters.
Unfortunately i see us go into super defense mode if we score first. That’s why i think it will be a narrow 1-0 victory for us.
Hope i’m wrong and the boys go for the kill when/if Bahrain opens up.
