Imagine iraq losing or draw against Hong hong. That would be ace for us. Remember they are playing in that crappy pitch.


I think the results today pretty much says that we must win! No need for last minute ifs and buts. We should plan for the win and go for the win.

I was hoping uae lose or get a draw against thailand but they didn't (they have better goal scores) , on other hand uzbekistan hamered singapore by 5 goals so now they a great GD. Therefore now its a Must WIN game for us.

Uzbekistan vs Saudi , = Saudi arabia will let them win if that would kick us out
Lebanon vs South Korea = even if they lose to turkeminstan (which i doubt it), south korea will let lebanon get a draw if that would kick us out.
Uae vs Vietnam = Its 50-50% but if UAE beat vietnam then no chance for us as they would have 11 points (after beating malay)
China vs Syria = Syria will let china win or get a draw wich would also kick us out.

So I already see iraq game a MUST WIN game for us. Unless something drastic happens and Iraq lose points against Hong Kong or UAE lose points against Indonesia .

Basically our Best chances of finishing among the Best second place teams is, to finish above one of these teams:

Group B scenarios:
If Kuwait vs Jordan ends in a draw, all other results than a Jordan victory against Australia Will make us better than both Kuwait and Jordan
If Kuwait Wins with one goal, we are through if Jordan Wins against Australia with maximum 1 goal. If Kuwait Wins with two goals, we are through if Jordan Wins against Australia with maximum 2 goals. BUT Kuwait is not allowed to win with more than 2 goals, because that makes their GD better than ours.
If Jordan win against Kuwait, we need Australia to beat Jordan with the same amount of goals that Jordan beat Kuwait with. It May be a little hard to understand, feel free to ask questions.

Group C:
Saudi Arabia beating uzbekistan in the last game. Or Yemen beating Uzbekistan. Or uzbekistan Drawing Yemen and not beating saudi Arabien while Yemen beating Palestine in the last game (unlikely scenario)

Group G:
Vietnam not beating Malaysia. Or Vietnam beating UAE in the last game

Group H:
Lebanon loosing to both Turkmenistan and South Korea

These are our Best chances.
Personally i Think our Best chances are Vietnam not beating Malaysia or the different scenarios from group B. A Kuwait win with maximum 2 goals Would be perfect, as Jordan then have to Best Australia with either 2 or 3 goals (depending on they loose with one or two goals against Kuwait)

Group G might work in our favor if Emirates loose against Vietnam their GD will be +4 or worse with 9 points, if they win Vietnam with 8 points will end up below us - draw is tricky (potentially 1 down)

Group E: Oman will get another 3 points from Afghanistan and jump in front of us with 12 points

Group D: More tricky. If Saudi wins with 2 goals (2 down), if usbeks win Saudis at 10 points and good goal difference on top of us

Group F: A lot of moving parts but good chance Tajikistan ends up second with max 7 points and below us (3 down)

Group B: If Jordan looses to Australia and does not win against Kuwait they will also end up below us (4 down) otherwise they jump ahead

Group A: fair chance Lebanon looses the next 2 games and ups up with only 10 Points but +3 or less GD (5 down)

Ghaedi's miss was very poor, and the Hong Kong goal we conceded was so annoying, however, we will continue to win our remaining games and none of these scores above will matter, trust in TM

Turkmenistan doesnt have anymore matches against sri Lanka. Their game against Lebanon is their last game. There are plenty of ways we Can qualify with a draw. Read my post on the previous page. I have listed all the realistic scenarios. Believe me, I have studied this for a month now, there are ways we Can qualify with a draw. Some of Them are pretty realistic
