Look, here is the truth. This Iraqi side is about at the same level as Bahrain. The only thing they have going for them which in any way puts them on the same scoresheet as our team is this mental block Iran always has against Arab teams in qualifiers.

What Iran has always needed was a coach that had a strong psychological presence to the team to keep them focused, unemotional, and performing at the level they show regularly for their clubs. Quieroz was for the most part an expert at doing that, hence why we qualified so easily under him. Wilmots was an absolute olagh who never did his research for our badbakht team and so that why we are in the shitter with him. It seems like Skocic has adopted the right approach this time around and we saw the result against Bahrain after his halftime talk it seems. Hoping this is carried over into Iraq and I predict a comfortable 2-0 assuming no major refereeing shenanigans or major sooti's.
