Wow, what a game! Congrats to all Team Melli fans! Post your post match ratings here:

Beiranvand- 8, was excellent today. Did everything he could correctly. Not tested too much but the intangibles were all there.

Milad Mohammadi- 6, some shaky passes, was OK defensively

Kanaani- 6.5, Great aerial defending, otherwise OK 1 v 1. Had some good interceptions and forward passes. A bad yellow card though.

Shoja- 5.5, Not his best game today. PAG was much better IMO.

Sadegh Moharrami- 7, great going forward, not so much defending. Some shaky crosses but made up for it by being one of our best players in the 1st half.

Hajsafi- 5.5, honestly not as bad as people think. Yes, he had some horrible turnovers and crosses, but 2nd half he was superb defensively and had some excellent passes and interceptions. 4 first half and 7 second half for me.

Amiri- 9.5 (MOTM), Amiri was my man of the match. The first goal started with him. Amazing interceptions, defending, dribbling, passing, vision.. I mean you name it. Stat sheets won't show how impactful he was.

Nourollahi- 6.5, A bit slow and had some poor touches, however, he did have a nice assist and I like his aggressiveness when shooting the ball.

Gholizadeh- 7.5, did great controlling the flow of play, had some good through balls. Overall very solid.

Taremi- 8, Would've gotten a 9 if it wasn't for somewhat poor finishing, but man, his positioning is something else. Had 2 assists, and seems to be in the right place at the right times!

Azmoun- 9.5 (Co-MOTM), Our superstar. Two beautiful and amazing finishes. Amazing pace. There is a reason teams like Sevilla and Atalanta want him. Mashallah Sardar!

BENCH:

PAG- 7, was very solid defensively when on the pitch, held structure extremely well, was a leader in the back

Ezatolahi- 7.5 did excellent going forward and like PAG, he held the structure of the team very well. Had some nice passes too.

Ghoddos- 9, one word: SUPERSUB. Skocic putting in Saman changed the game. He was unbelievable; defensively winning back balls, playing high IQ through balls, dribbling past players, feeding players for easy 1 v 1 chances. Changed the game.

Torabi- 8, seems to be very lively every time he comes off the bench. Had a very nice pre-assist to Taremi.

Ghayedi- 7, Excellent energy off the bench. I think he could've scored in he was subbed in earlier.

If we are gonna dock him too much for missing just some of his opportunities he works to put himself in he’s never gonna have a 10. He’s the most important player on the team and he’s always in the right position.

Hajsafi needs to be off the team. I’m tired of his shit.

well to be honest taremi missed 2 in first half and like 2 in second half he got a 8 purely because he assisted 2 and scored one, the pass ghoddos gave him he should have hit the target at least, we need him to be more clinical infront of goal when we play better teams

He was much better in the 2nd half at lb. Had some good interceptions and honestly played possibly even better than Milad at lb. But considering everyone else got a 6 or higher 5.5 ain't a bad rating for Hajsafi lol

Beiranvand - 7/10- Not asked to do much, but good footwork when our CBs put him in so bad spots.
Moharami- 7/10 - not bad, not great
Kanani - 6/10 - great in the air, poor on the ground, and one horrible tackle.
Shoja - 6.5/10 - Seemed tired to me.
Mohammadi - 5.5/10 - defensively was ok, but was really lost offensively. His touch was a disaster. Rightfully subbed.
Hajisafi - 0.5/10 - Less said the better. 1st half he was basically a Bahraini. When he moved to LB, his f***ups were less noticeable. The 0.5 is for his one decent interception. Crosses were disgusting.
Nourallahi- 6/10 - Really poor in the 1st half. Defensively good in the 2nd half and one good assist.
Amiri - 9.5/10 - Almost perfect. Covered our midfield and saved Hajisafi's ass way too many times. Real shame he got injured. My MOTM and now one of favorite TM players ever. What a tank. Still can't believe people don't like him. First goal was because of his hustle. He blocked the Bahraini attack so many times. Recover well and soon Vahid jan!
Gholizadeh- 5/10 - Tired and slow.
Taremi- 9.5/10 - great assists and really good goal (see how he blocks the Bahraini defender) - just wish he had finished a few of the easier chances earlier on.
Azmoun - 9/10 - Excellent finishes on both goals. Wonderful.

Ghoddos - 9/10- Wonderful. His best TM game ever. He was fouled so many times and asshole ref would say nothing, however he would always get through. Got TM out of many difficult spots.
Ezatollahi - 7/10 - Calm and composed. Played with much more maturity than his age.
Torabi - 7/10 - did not play alot but he won the ball from the Bahrainis to start the 3rd goal attack.
Ghaedi- 6/10 - not lethal enough - but found himself in good spots.
PAG - 6.5/10 - did what was required.

Skocic - 7/10 - Can't understand starting Haji Safi, but he changed the game in the 2nd half and got us a win in Manama.

Must win our next 2 games. I don't care about goal difference and permutations of other group results. Win it all and we qualify as 1st.

F*** the AFC.

Bahrainis pressed hard in the 1st 15 minutes but TM survived. They fell apart physically and once they conceded, their entire team fell apart. It was wonderful to watch. Bahrain is a terrible team and does not rely on skill to do anything. We should be beating them regularly without all this stress.
No need to over-celebrate.

Edit: I bumped up Taremi's rating higher. Two assists and a goal, I can't be too harsh on that. I still say Amiri is MOTM as without him the team would have fallen apart in the 1st half.
