ARJ was our MVP today, I don't know what game you guys were watching lol. Yes he had a few bad touches but he had a goal, two or three assists, won the ball back more than our center backs, and created countless chances for our strikers.

If we are going off based off goals and assists as you clearly are, then Mohebi had a much superior performance against more motivated Cambodian opponents back in his debut match... IF goals and assists are your criteria.

I kinda like Ghaedi in the substitute/joker role. Coming in the 60th minute when our offense needs a boost and the opposition is fatigued.

Ideally, I'd start JB with Taremi-Azmoun (JB deserves it, IMO). But wouldn't be surprised if he sticks with Gholi.

Great team effort by all. In particular I was very impressed by Ghaedi:

1. He was very energetic and always hustling to find his positioning
2. His run and assist to Kaveh (which he almost scored) was superb
3. His runs in the box were very effective and the PK he earned was Taremi-esque in its display. He also earned a free kick just outside of the box with a similar display
4. His goal was superb. Very tough angle and speed to score from, but he executed brilliantly.

What a young star, he has a bright future!

i dont know .... watching them now and they dont look too terrible to me..?
totally in control of the tempo and the match as a whole vs HK and already ahead ..! it took us 10 or so minutes into 2nd half to break them down

i think we got our work cut out for us on tuesday ..... and like you said regardless its gonna be dogfight between us
hopefully if we are not wasteful with our chances then we can beat them with 2-3 goals but i think with them knowing all they need to progress is a tie after their likely win today vs HK ... they are likely to tank back and park the bus against us and then try to snatch a goal on counter if opportunity presents itself..!
we need players of the likes of Ghaedi and Torabi probably in early 2nd half .... in order to break down their pact D and register hopefully a win..!!

we are long past due for a W against them.... daaran po roo mishan and we need to put them back in their place and let them know that We are Superior .... We ALWAYS WERE...!!

Besides i think Eskoochie knows/feels that he'd need that Win in order to solidify his job going into next round .... otherwise if we limp into next round via a tie etc on GD, im sure they're be some demands of coaching change before the next WCQ round gets under way ..?
