i hope iraqis are tired after today aswell, and that TM puts 1-2 early goals so we wont have a heartattack in second half..

Iraq scored one goal against HK! And got one goal scored against Cambodia! How in the world can Iran allow themselves to lose this next match.

They should be tired, also with this players we have we seriously should win by 2-3 goals.

Oh man this is 2006 WCQ revisited all over again. The only difference is that we only had one loss against Jordan in Azadi, but this time we incurred to losses against Iraq and Bahrain. I remember back in 2004-2005 how nervous we all were prior to our away Qatar and Jordan games.

Man I never forget the crucial match against Qatar that was a must win against Qatar, we conceded the second goal from Qatar on the 75' and I for one thought that's it, we're out. Only for Borhani and Hashemian to revive our hopes by scoring 2 goals and beating Qatar 2-3. Oh boy how torturous has been watching TM WCQ for us the old timers. Today's generation is one lucky generation!

Apologies if this has already been discussed but I would be interested to know why Taremi wasn’t on pen duty today - good chance to get his goal count up.

Someone mentioned that Karim Bagheri waived him off. That could explain why he looked a bit pissed and tossed the ball.

i want to know why Taremi was even PLAYING. was skocic that unconfident? when you have backups like ansarifard, rezaei, even guys like Torabi and Ghaedi on bench it was strange

Iran won’t, but AFC and Iraq will pull every trick in the book to keep Iran from advancing

Probably to have a rhythm going into the last game rather than having a full week off. He only played a half so he'll be fine come Tuesday. This was basically a scrimmage. They have practices rougher than the 90 minutes they had against Cambodia.

So Ghayedi who plays in PGPL did not have a better preformance than those who played in Europe today? (Or in this case a temporary nimkat neshin for his club given that he doesn't play for them)? If it was a contraversial opinion, then how has this been applied to practically? Meaning was ARJ not drop at the expense of Mohebi who did more in his limited minutes??? If anything, ""LOOOOOOOOOOL"" at your baseless rationality and hypocrisy for criticizing me just because I do not rate the same player as you.
listen. when you rebranded from Hoorad to Leicester City, you adopted a new, more mature persona that we all really appreciated. some (not me) even forgot that you were the infamous Hoorad. All we're saying is: pick an identity. Either Hoorad, the firebrand, controversy-seeking wild card, or Leicester City, the statesmanlike forum diplomat who's established a reputation for stable discourse and reasoned analysis.

We all have to choose who want to be.

Also just for some perspective...Mohebi only scored 3 goals this season in PGPL. Hardly the impact of a player who is miles better than ARJ...coming from somebody who still doesnt think ARJ should or will start for TM in key games.

He has a lot of maturing to do in his game but for sure has the raw ingredients to be better than arj if he gets to europe asap under a high quality coach.

All the arab teams are nothing, but when they play Iran their gheyrat comes out.
They just don't want to loose to the strongest country in the middleast who is not arab.

“First, I would like to congratulate my players because they played very well. Our team are a better team than Cambodia and we ended the match as we expected. I enjoyed my team’s performance but in such games, there is a feeling of sympathy due to our weak opponent,” Skocic said.

“The game against Cambodia is over and from now on we think about the match against Iraq. The tournament has not yet finished for us. We respect Iraq and I hope my team play as they played against Hong Kong, Bahrain and Cambodia in their previous matches,” the Croat added.
