We are running way too much. It is best to move the ball rather than run with the ball especially in a game like this and before our most important game. Bahrain made the same mistake of running at Cambodia to get more and more goals and we all saw they were gassed in the second half as a result.

My observation so far:
JB doing great with interception.
Taremi turned sloppy after his goal, still playing well but not giving 100% (why should he)
Ezatolahi: feel sorry for him, deserved a goal. But that pace was overkill.
Talking about pace.....some passes especially the deep space ones were made with too much pace. Players need to adjust better.
Afterall: good result so far.
just take a deep breath and enjoy guys.IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

No reason Mehdi should have let Saeed take that penalty.
JB and Mehdi are MOTM so far. JB is involved both on offense and Defense, creating chances and dispossessing the opponent. Mehdi is doing his usual Mehdi things.
Gholi is back to being a poor man's Masoud Shojaei. Killing the flow of the attack, turning the ball over trying to be too cute with his dibbles, no hustling on D.
The defense, especially Sadegh have been a bit concerning. Better teams would Punish us. Some of that falls on Skocic, who still doesn't seem have figured out a proper defensive game plan.
Respect to Cambodia, despite being down 4-0, they are playing hard and much better than the first match against us.

I realize this is not a close match and our players are kinda playing scrappy, but this game is actually showing some good points for the coach to take note of.
#1 -- Defense has many holes
#2 -- This is the third game that I see, we are just not able to deliver healthy crosses in the box.
#3 -- Our midfield needs to play with more conviction. We are not even able to control the middle against Cambodia. This is critical for Iraq game.

So far the refrees that we had : [/SIZE]
Iran vs
Kim Jong-hyeok - Cambodia Game
Fu Ming - Bahrain game
Adham Makhadmeh - Hong Kong Game
????? - Iraq game
------
Iraq vs
Yaqoob Said Abdullah Abdul Baki- Cambodia Game
??? vs Hong kong
??? Vs Iran
Referees left for our iraq game:
Ilgiz Tantashev - Uzbekistan
Hiroyuki Kimura - Japan
So most probably we'll get Hiroyuki Kimura for our game against iraq.
ps: not sure but christopher beath (australia) was changed to Yaqoob Abdul Baki dur to corona
Edit: Iraq has Hiroyuki Kimura - Japan for their game against hong kong
so that means we are left with the following referee
Ilgiz Tantashev - Uzbekistan

True we’re up by 4 goals but I am not too impressed with TM. First off our defense still looks shaky and penetrante even by a weak team like Cambodia. Many of our passes either get intercepted by Cambodia or go to wrong directions.
Ghoddos is not as effective as his game against Bahrain. Ezzy didn’t really need to hit the PK that hard and high. ARJ-Taremi duo together did a great job.
Typically we have been displaying a better game in the second halves. Hopefully it will be the same today.
