MOHAMAD MYLIKOHAN or someone in that nature IS NOT OUR Coach mk=ugly girlfriend with brain .
Right now we have choice to go bring the fine girl with the brain if not we might end up with ugly one with brain . This group of players 1 -23 is best in our history and they deserve the best possible coach to give them the best opportunity to play in wc and not get embarrassed.

But this poll is not about CQ coming back or not but about the suitability of Skocic to continue as the coach for the next round. Skocic has done well no doubt, but remember we are playing in Bahrain with no fans and we have a very strong squad with strong replacements in every spot, so winning all our games there was not a miracle. Will it be the same in the next round? Absolutely not, however we have a strong enough squad that come come first even with Australia or Korea in our group, or at worst come 2nd. The coach needs to be competent to take us to the WC with this group of players and not a miracle worker. However then the same coach has to take the team to the WC, that's where i think Skocic will be left wanting. Can we change him just before the WC after he has helped the team quality? I think that will not only be fair but also not a good idea. With Skocic we will not make it out of the WC group and not sure we will show a good showing in our group either, especially if we have a group anything like the last WC. Based on that i think the window to change the coach is now, if we can get a good one that is.

I like skocic and i was happy he became our coach for this round.
But next round is different guys
WE ARE USED TO CQ making qualifying look easy
We have forgotten the 2010 how difficult it was and we failed or 2002 with best team ever we failed.
I am not saying we wont qualify with skocic with this players akbar misaghiyan has a chance.
How will a coach like skocic reacts once we lose a game and have to bounce back?
What i saw was sardar is in charge of the players

Is sardar telling the coach who should start at certain positions?

He took over a team in complete mess and had to win four matches in miserable conditions. Based on all the challenges we have, IFF should hold onto him. The last time we lost a winner in CQ, and signed a con artist in Wilmot, look what happened.

As for his choice of lineup, none of us are really in camp and none of us really see these players from a foot away, so the only way you can measure the coaches lineups is through results on the field and you really can't argue against going 4-0.

Couldn't agree more.
It is really unbelievable how some people here in the forum think they know how to arrange our team without being close to the team and have a clue about the tactics of our opponent.
As mentioned before he took over with the absolute worst conditions to qualify for the next round and we honestly didn't have to really be nervous in any of these 4 games.
When was the last time we dominated Iraq and Bahrain in an away do or die match???
Ofcourse there is room for improvement but just because he doesn't have a name like CQ (That I love dearly BTW) you shouldn't judge him.
What he did was an amazing effort in my opinion considering what kind of mess we were in with all obstacles that AFC and Bahrain threw at us.
Some people here should just be more respectful to someone who took us out of this mess for now and yes I think he totally deserves a chance to continue to be the coach of our beloved team melli for now.

For everyone's information, Skocic's contract has ended and IFF needs to make a quick decision. IFF president, Azizi Khadem, was asked today after TM arrived in Tehran whether Skocic's contract will be extended. He said he is grateful of his work but this is a decision of the IFF management committee (heyat raeeseh) and he defers to that body. He is of course part of that body. Varzesh3 tried to dramatize his answer yet I think it was a professional one. He said that decision should come from the right body and he will follow that.

Skocic and Cq faced many of the same obstacles we are all aware of with IFF and funding issues. These are not unique to them only but a reality of our football. On top of that AFC robbed TM of home field and made us play in a "neutral venue". TM got no prep time or friendlies...and COVID...

Skocic response is a breath of fresh air. No excuses...no "other teams are giants we are minnows"...just respect the opponent, respect the conditions, and give it your all...even when he could say f the doubters he comes out and says I am proud of our effort but we have more work to do. His leadership is on par with a seasoned coach with a winning mentality. I give him 100% support for keeping it drama free despite many chances to revert back to old ways and cover his own butt.

This is a million dollar question at the moment and I think the answer needs some real thinking and consideration for future. The decision cannot be rushed or made based on emotions basis. The parameters for selection have to be defined very clearly with future planning in mind.

In my opinion, whomever that is selected has to be of the caliber to potentially lead the team in Qatar 2022 World Cup. We cannot have a coach for next round of qualification and another one for world cup.

IFF needs to come up with a PLAN (and I realize "plan" is just not something that gets done in Iran).

BUT HE HAD NO BUSSINESS become the head coach #2 in asia and top 30 in the world.
