CQ deserves an Oscar as the most talented actor, making us believe he genuinely loves iran and iranians. He seems he is showing us he was just a mercenary that get paid a lot to do its job (with a lot of good that's true but some bad aswell), nothing more, nothing less.

If mister really loves or cares iran and iranians, he would know Iranians are suffering, receiving bad news every day and have only football for some joy. If he knew that, he wouldn't accept money (as if he didn't earn enough) to come to Iran and try to eliminate the national team from wc with a country like iraq. You are right, but CQ is loaded dude, I think we tend to forget this. Before coming to Iran he'd made plenty of green with Man-Utd/Real Madrid/Portugal/UAE/South Africa. And after Iran he had a 3 Million dollar per year contract with Colombia.

If he takes the job it will be because of the stunt that he can pull off, the challenge. He is a smart guy, he knows that the current Iraq team is not the same as 4-5 years ago.

Weeks of slandering CQ for considering / negotiating this job and in the end looks like he's not gonna be Iraq's coach after all.

Not sure why youre turning this into a coaching comparison.... But comparing CQ to wilmots is laughable and once again irrelevant. One got paid handsomely for 8 years of service and the other got paid 4 years of salary for 4 games. As someone who is so concerned with the fiscal health if IFF I feel like you should be able to differentiate between the two.

My agenda is the successful qualification of TM to the WC in Qatar period. Full stop.

Today one question came to my mind.

We see CQ as world class coach right ? Or at least many of us since he was Portugal coach, Real Madrid Coach ..... but isnt it strange that he landed in Iran, Iraq, Columbia ( ok its great bit he failed) ..., shouldnt he he coaching a big team if he has the quality ? I mean maybe there is a reason Top 10 teams or even Top 20 teams or no big league Teams got him ??

Open your eyes man...ya I am no fan of CQ but not out of hate. Cause I feel he didn't deliver in 8 years. My standards may not match yours...but a thread and countless pots worshipping the guy is not supporting TM now or Skocic. A TM player and fans making the comparisons and asking for CQ back doesn't help us now or later. Let's not be hypocritical. I agree with you...TM to world cup is the goal. Not with CQ but with Skocic!
