From what I have seen recently in PGPL/Legionairres and previous youth games of course the big names like Allahyar, Delfi, Yasin Salmani will be crucial to the teams success. But from previous editions our teams have really struggled defensively. I remember also St. Mark would always make this point. I hope whoever the coach is settles on a solid back 4 and gives them some time to gel. Houshmand of Aluminium is the best young defender in the league this year, Fallah of paykan is also another CB getting regular minutes. Taha Shariati is still an option too although he is nowhere near what we thought he would be after missing past couple seasons through injury.

This kid is a very solid GK option and also very comfortable with his feet. Should take the GK spot probably.

I am unsure what the rules are w/ regards to overage players. Derakshanmehr, Jalali are born August,June 1998. Usually 2-3 players over age cutoff are allowed? Not really sure about that. If we cannot use those 2 then there is a big hole in the LB spot. Same thing goes for RB with Hardani of foolad, by far the best young RB in the league. Only other young RB who gets much playing time is Satavi from SNA, he was also on u17 team with allahyar and delfi.

In midfield options are a bit better. Ghobeishavi was captain for u17 and is fix for SNA at CDM/CM. Khodabandelu is a mobile CDM who is also fix for Paykan. Soltanimehr played with Shekari in u20 but is eligible for this age group as he was born in 1999. He was one of our best CM promises some years back on saipa but had bad injuries. Now he is playing decent minutes for zob ahan. All of these are aged only 21.

Attacking mid Yasin has to be the key guy. He has been pushing for TM senior callup with form on Sepahan recently. There is also Hosseinzadeh of Saipa who after u17 WC signed contract with Cordoba in Segunda then suffered bad ACL (or achilles?) tear and didnt make the transfer. He is back playing regularly for saipa and has improved physically too.

For forward and wing, again the team can be loaded. Allahyar is best u23 #9 in asia, Delfi hopefully builds his fitness and form in Croatia this year, another whose talent cannot be questioned. Shariatzadeh of SNA is only 19 but very talented. Ghaderi is getting regular mins for tractor and was a starter on LW for u17. He has great speed, not decision making yet. Monazami of Zob Ahan is very explosive young forward, only aged 18.

The key for this team is what the objective + planning is. If the federation actually have an objective they can do great things with this team, even with limited resources. The least they can do is organize multiple multi week camps for them at PEC.

Rumour has it he's gonna make Taremi and Azmoun forge their papers to say they qualify for U23. Ghaedi still qualifies until 2045.
