But considering the usual IFF goozoo alternatives for the job, I’ll take him for the job under any capacity..!
Yes he managed a few of the youth squads for HSV I believe.

      Oh yea ..! True
      I remember now ..!
& has worked under countless world class coaches too..! He’ll likely do very well if adequately supported by IFF in this venture..!

He has been working and living in hamburg since the academy started. He really just got FCKIA off the ground and is still the main organizer/planner for their age groups + steps they are taking but a cadre of EU licensed iranian coaches (incl. licensed fitness trainers, physios, etc) + his brother and some others like Edmond Bezik, etc handle the day to day, coaching of various age groups, trials, etc.

So this would not really affect the academy at all. It would probably require him to either drop his HSV job completely for time being (he is assistant coach of 18s or u17s and does some private sessions for wingers from all age groups within the academy) or limit the hours, but I think given the step up in terms of importance that is something his coaching career could warrant. If he manages to take Omid to Olympics in Paris he will certainly have more on his CV for HSV to consider giving him a higher up role as head coach with one of the youth teams or something.

I wish him all the success. I can't think of a more dedicated guy to do this job. I hope his haters don't make a fuss as inevitably he brings some of the kids from his academy into the team in the next year or two... but I can see how that can be a slight conflict of interest...

Im not even sure he will. They are still young. But anyways any of the ones he does decide to bring in will have been selected by other coaches for U18 team previously (most of the team are kia) and before that other youth age groups so its not like they are unknown or not verified as talented by somebody other than kia, in fact they are the best players in that age group in the country.

Has this been made official that he will be coach? I heard yes then IFF retracted on their announcement.

If this materializes, I truly hope they won’t destroy yet again another legend’s image and career by causing constant havoc and chaos. We all know he is one of the best options for this position and we all should support him and give him time, rather than the typical behavior…

Assist by Yasin today was really special again, skip to minute 4:12.

This kid has best range, weight of passing of any mid in the league atm.

On a day when two other youngsters (Ghayedi + Abdi) failed badly with their Pks he again showed his great poise and quality sending a highly charged,in form foroozan the wrong way.

The role of fans is not mentioned in any above discussions.

Fans or supporters of National teams need to take active role and support people who care for our football.

                    (1) Let us create a support group that also provides some financial backing. Each member should pay at least $100. If the coach (namely, Mahdavi-kia needs help).
                    (2) Parallel to IFF, fans should take active role in supporting good coaches. Those who live outside should realize everything costs money,
                    (3) one way IFF demonstrates its incompetency is by saying they are short of funds whereas all the IFF administrators are well paid.

the good thing about somebody like kia is at the sniff of BS he will just quit and leave federation with egg all over their face and return to his role in hamburg. Which is why if he agrees to come I think that is a sign he was able to guarantee the type of backing he wants/needs

What they are waiting for is HSV to say yes.

Mahdavikia is working in HSV for 20 years. Why couldn't he ease an Iranian transfer like Salmani there
