im pretty sure there will be many Championship or other low key EU leagues team who would love to take punt on him as a riskless and cheap loan option ... or possibly even other bottom table dwelling more attacking EPL sides like say Leeds ..?? New Castle ?
any team in top 5 of Eredivisie ? portugal ?

fk man, anywhere where he is guaranteed more playing minutes... especially in a more attacking, certainly a Less Restrictive role which he is certainly more apt to shine in...! than this bs LB and DCM spots that Frank keeps him to and to top it off, kills his creative playing strengths by further forcing him to adhere to overly restrictive positional and defensive duties..!! allowing him little to No freedom of movements..!! I mean FFS, Ever seen him even feature off the bench for brentford, without Frank spending some 3-5 minutes on the sidelines giving him probably some bs Detailed playing instructions ..? Like WTF man ....!!
your shitt game tactics obviously didnt work, you are obviously losing and got some 10-15 minutes to try to salvage something from the game when you give Sammy minutes anyhow...!! the least you can do is to just assign the man a less restrive and more an attacking role and let him do what he does best ..!! rather than handicap the kid's creative juices and kill the little confidence he has got left by giving him overly demanding strict playing instructions..!!

This person reporting that Saman was not happy when he left the pitch at the end of the game.
Good. He should show and air his grievances. The Mr. Nice Guy route doesnt work, ask JB. He should demand a loan (or sale) to a non-EPL club. I think he has decent market value and could be attained for 3-5 million.

can you blame him..? i mean WTF else had to transpire, for him to get at least 10-15 More minutes in a game like today's ..??
        ps
what's even more pathetic to me is seeing so many wanker Brendford fans be so fking extatic about today's supposed narrow loss..!!
many of them are over the moon, just for not losing with much bigger margin...!! lol as if it makes any fking real difference ??? after getting completely dominated at home, nearly ALL GAME LONG .... last time i checked the possession was like 81 to 19% no doubt that's probably how Frank feels about his team's toothless performance today too? or probably half their playing squad the same..???
if i were Samman too, i'd be wanting to get the fk away from such loser wanker club mentality all together too..!! WANKERS..!

Also, I love how Frank is becoming the new Pothead on PFDC.

BL jan, since you were the one that came up with Pothead, please think of a name we can call Frank too!

Offtopic, but I have to say that Thomas Frank looks exactly like Willem Dafoe!

going to have to push back and play devil's advocate here.

Saman wasn't rated as a starter by CQ; isn't getting playing with with Skocic...

Was inconsistent for Amiens, a crap french club.

And now that he's being benched (mind you - he's faring much better than AJB did at brighton) in the freaking EPL...we're blaming the coach?

Can't be emotional and biased. Clearly there are gaps in his game that are causing this pattern. there are considerations and factors at play that we, as casual fans, just can't see. maybe saman is failing to follow tactical plans or assimilate into the coach's system. maybe it has nothing to do with saman's abilities, but rather that he just doesn't fit into the coach's objectives. The moments of technical skill and flashes of promise we see as (biased) fans may not compensate for other shortcomings that the manager, who observes saman every day in training, is aware of.

At this point - it's Saman, not the coach. It makes 110% sense that a player with saman's profile, club history, etc. is only earning occasional playing time and isn't a starter. are brentford fans also begging for saman to play, and criticizing the coach for not playing him? probably not.

Everyone here complained for years about potter, saying he was biased. but the truth all along was that AJB didn't have the quality to be an EPL rotation player. it shows in the national team, it shows at feyenoord.

relax people and enjoy that we get to see our boy get SOME time in the EPL on a team that is likely to stay in the EPL. it's also too early to tell - he'll get his chances, and maybe his fortunes will change.

8th on xPTS, Brentford and Frank are performing well, they'll be safe. But where ARJ was working under a manager who significantly improved players, I don't see the same in Frank. Ghoddos should leave the league.

How dare you make such compelling points.

Don't you understand that if an Iranian player doesn't play every week and excel in the Premier League, it's not simply because they're not good enough compared to the rest of the squad or the standard of the league and that no Iranian will ever do well in the Premier League (despite Dejagah winning Fulham player of the season a few years back)...

No, it's the fault of either:
                    - the coach (who should be sacked for our player's lack of success, regardless of how well they're doing in the job despite their resources in relation to their rivals)
                    - the club (who only signed our player coz they couldn't get a Korean, Japanese, African player and never really wanted our player anyway or don't sign our players, who are clearly good enough because they care more about politics than being effectively a business that wants the best players to ensure success)
                    - the fans (who must be fickle and racist when it comes to Iranian players, not that our players that aren't living up to their price tag)
                    - the physicality of the league vs the bone structure on the average Iranian footballer
                    - the condition of the pitches or adverse weather conditions

... What are some of the other hilarious excuses on here I'm forgetting?

Oh, or it's the anti-Iranian, racist agenda of some or all of those stakeholders mentioned above - or the football governing body in that country - be they English, Danish, Dutch, Croatian, Swahili, or whatever... which is reason enough for us to resort to tit for tat nationality based insults about those people/groups.

No, you need to be more small-minded, blindly patriotic and emotional, my friend, if you want to exist here and have your opinions valued.

Sorry got to disagree on the he is doing better than AJB issue. AJB was doing better all along at Brighton. He was primarily the number 1 substitution coming off the bench and the team would always concentrate on feeding him the ball. At his new team he is doing just fine playing major minutes battling for first place and he is always in the game on the closing minutes of close games. The true measure of who the coach relies upon. Don't get me wrong, I am not an AJB fan but he has always been better the Saman. Neither one of the two players are fit enough to play 90 minutes for TM or their clubs. Saman does deserve a lot more playing time than he is getting given how the formation is not producing results.

Some of your points are valid, and would make more sense if he was playing for Man City or Chelsea. But alas, he's playing for Brentford, and even with his limited minutes is consistently one of their top 3 players on the pitch. Saman has improved his game/fitness since the Amiens days. To see him consistently benched in a very mediocre EPL team when he is performing so well when given minutes is the issue. Not that we EXPECT him to be played simply because we like him or because he's Iranian (though I must admit that certainly is a bias of many here, including me).

You forgot "Other players don't pass to our player".

I agree with your thesis and in general, we are like Iranian mothers... Our kids are perfect, good looking, smart, etc. without a flaw. If our players are not succeeding, it must be the above.

From a fair perspective, sometimes one or two of the above does happen, but whether its true or not, we always go there.

please dont forget frank's nationalistic obsession with his danish players, who are utter utter crap.

if ghoddos played like jensen, we would curse him harder and say he doesnt belong. iroonis are so hard on their own and completely capitulate to foreigners. dont get the mentality tbh

There is no doubt saman has his shortcomings, but can you objectively look at the performances of Jensen, Onyeka in particular (and even now wissa playing SS role that saman can also play) and compare them with Saman's activity from the bench, and say they are warranting the excess in minutes they are getting over him?

To a large extent ARJ was a different story. He was coming off the bench and really not doing anything at all. Sure he wasnt markedly worse that his competition, but he wasnt good either.

Ghoddos in his start vs villa was excellent, flipped the game on its head vs watford getting a pk and helping setup the first goal, scored a beauty vs burnley, gave a brilliant assist vs Norwich, and in past 2 games has looked so lively off the bench that most brentford fans (not iranians, big shocker) are calling for him to start...
