He has himself to blame.
He got himself embroidered into an unnecessary controversy in TM that ultimately hurt only himself.
And instead of ending it immediately, he foolishly dug himself a bigger hole.


This also shows mentally he is not strong to refocus himself, regroup and regain his form.
This should not come as a surprise as he showed the weak mentality in Turkey too.

He needs some psychological help. Coz physically he is doing all the right things.
Hope the club recognizes this and gets him help ASAP

His hustle, defensive work and clever runs are still there. He is in his head at the moment though, overthinking things or making wrong choice or taking an extra touch. He just needs that goal and the pressure will come off his back. Shame there isn’t an international game soon - he could do with getting some goals for Iran.

currently in portugal, and with the limited portuguese i can understand due to my proficiency in spanish, the reporters on the television (sport tv) are saying something along the lines of “taremi no marca… mas ele fez bem… ajudar…” from what i can tell they are saying that despite not scoring, taremi is playing well and helping the team, etc.

The game is centered around Diaz. All the players are trying to find him. And he is so selfish and pretty much never passes in the right time.

Goals will come, matter of time.

He needs to stay strong and not let it affect his body language so much though. Initially in this game he was very sharp, aggressive, and looked set on scoring early. When goal didnt come and he missed a couple he visibly looked super frustrated. Should do a better job of controlling that.

Actually an apt point of reference is azmoun who used to do similar childish BS during his goal droughts of a few seasons back. After that realllllly long when in the 2nd rubin spell he finally learned to cut that shit out and control himself mentally even after missing a few chances in a few games. That was the only positive that came out of that period for him was that he learned how to deal with frustration on the field in a manner more becoming of a serious player.

If taremi was in euro environment since age of 23 or even younger like his insane natural talent warranted, these sort of things would have quickly been solved within first couple seasons. Now he is just experiencing such a drought for first time and suddenly doesnt know how to react.

Definitely body language is very telling at the end of the match. It could just be that he's tired (he worked his tail off), but also just looks emotionally down
