Zenit is so dumb. They need good CMs for years now and Nzonzi would be a solid upgrade with what they currently have. World Cup winner with amazing physique and can do everything you need a CM/CDM to do. Fits Russian league very well…..whoever is making the calls got that one super wrong IMO.

totally disagree. In CDM they have wilmar barrios, the best defensive mid at the recent copa america, many years younger and better in every single metric.
Plus, why waste 2/8 foreign player spots on CDM when you are losing Azmoun, your main goal getter? How does that make sense? They need to use his foreign player spot on another CF obviously, or somebody who can chip in with 15+ goals at least.

As for the other crap they offered, a GK that zenit dont need (again why waste a foreign player spot on a GK when russian GKs are actually solid compared to their outfield players) and pedro who is 33 and plays same position as malcom.

For azmoun they are being fair. They need EU 20 million. If somebody can pay 18 million guaranteed plus 3ish in add ons related to performance that will probably be fine and accepted. But they need to get paid in cash to go after the foreign player targets they have (Laborde, Guedes, Claudinho, etc).

Taking Romes trash would just be shooting themselves in the foot. And honestly, the price is now fair if they are really asking for 20mil and not significantly more. Its really unrealistic to price him at lower than that, even if he is entering last year of contract, ESP when you consider they need to give 20% to rubin.

i think what he meant to say was that Roma had offered some low ball figure well below that of Leverk initial 18mil offer Plus a tokhmy , played out or useless for Zenit player ..!

I don't understand this logic at all. Azmoun is not fragile. The kid is as tough as anyone. Also, the Russian league is just as physical as any of the leagues you mentioned. I think he can play in any league. His games against Bayern and Atleti are proof.

I know Azmoun is not fragile but the fact that there is a language barrier and he doesnt know Italian is also going to be a problem.

This happened recently with Ansarifard, Jahanbaksh, and Guccinejejad. For example Guccinejad and Jahanbaksh had a very hard time adapting to English football and as a result they left England. The same happened with Ansarifard. This is how I look at, Iranian football players are generally soft and they need to play somewhere where they are comfortable and can progress and have little to no chance of getting injured. I know you will probably disagree but that is just the way it is. It is not like we have the best strength and fitness coaches in the world at out disposal for our athletes in Iran. We are seriously lacking in this department.
