Lol you'll find any angle to complain. Their top transfers being young players is an indication that they're great at development. Several of those recent transfers are on their way to becoming world class players

Sardar would be part of the present and the future of a UCL club in a top 4 league. Idk how you can find anything to complain about that

Baba Atalanta is a great team. Would love Azmoun there and prefer it to teams like Lyon and Bayer Leverkusen tbh

if its not PSG (a grade A shitshow), Chelsea, Bayern, Real, City, or Liverpool its not good enough.

All teams not named those teams are only good for u25 players. If you are above that age and not playing for one of those teams you should just quit football bc the prestige isnt high enough. What kind of a retarded argument is this lol.

None of those teams have ever signed somebody directly from russia, Sardar needs to go prove himself for a strong team in a top league before thinking about the absolute elite clubs. Why would you even want him in such a team right now, he probably wouldnt play more than 10 mins a game.

I'd actually prefer Sardar in Atalanta over the likes over Barca, PSG, etc types. Those clubs all have a toxic environment where if he goes out of form for a couple weeks (which we have seen from Sardar), the fans will be all over him and the club will quickly just purchase another player to replace him and dig him deep into the bench. In Atalanta he would be able to play in a great footballing environment while playing top level football alongside several other great players

who are we to even be after "flashy" transfers? Why?

The #1 thing is he is somewhere he plays, with a strong coach that trusts and improves him. For that even lyon is ok.

The #2 thing is that the team is as strong as possible, with strong supporting cast of wings, fwds, mids. Atalanta have that more than any mentioned team, even above teams like AC Milan, Leverkusen.

Next thing is their performances in europe, atalanta are impressive in past years and have strong chance to advance to RO16 again.

Another critical element is environment, are the surrounding players good influences who can help him or assholes? Are the fans supportive or pathetic lowlifes? What is team chemistry like, etc. I think Azmoun would fit very well into german setting, but atalanta can be good on this front too, they are a tight knit group with good amount of eastern euro guys like sardar is used to, turkish merih, etc.

Last on this list is something subjective like "prestige", what a stupid metric to judge a transfer

How many years does he have to prove himself again? He scored goals against big teams from several top or good league, finished Russian top scorer, scored a lot for his NT.
Should he score 5 goals to malmo or Italian bottom leagues to be fairly considered?
                      The guy is already 27

Hes turns 27 january 1st actually.
You are the same guy who were crying about his game vs juventus saying he doesnt press enough to be considered for top teams.

Everybody needs to prove themselves continuously. that is the nature of competitive sport. He will not go from Zenit to Real or Man city, I know that fact might be hard to accept but its the truth. And anyways, like we said, he wouldnt play much there either.

There is nothing bad about Atalanta move at all, just that it doesnt match fake reality you made up that he "deserves". It is a big upgrade for him and a place he can be challenged and improve as a player.

The extra years you are so worried about can work to his advantage. He has more experience and maturity to handle such a move and hit the ground running, unlike a younger player such as miranchuk who despite clear talent on mental level seems to have given up after hard year and consider running back to russia. Azmoun is less at risk for such a situation, because from that perspective he has grown up a lot already.

It took Shomorudov 1 season to move from Genoa to Roma and he doesn't carry the "prestige" that Azmoun has. 27 by all means isn't that old by Serie A standards.

Prestige brings spotlights to the players and train him to support pressure that comes with a top club. The players has to do more to improve, and even if the club is in a bad chape atm, it has the tools (money, prestige, influence..) to bounce back.
Just compare azmoun after/before zenit, taremi before/after porto, Ansarifard before/after olympiacos. Btw it was a weaker olympiacos than now. Doubt Ansarifard could handle the portugal pk pressure if he didn't join olympiacos.

Leipzig and atalanta work well but the day they lose nagelsmann and gasperini, I don't see them bounce back

You dont see it bc u have such intense fear of failure that reeks from miles away my friend.

How can you compare Atalanta to shitty olympiacos in greece lol. Serie A is a huge upgrade to RPL.

What he needs is to play in better league, for a better team, surrounded by better players, with a better coach. Atalanta provides all of that and more.

They are well supported club with long tradition of producing good players and improving others. Look what they did with guys like ilicic, papu, pasalic, de roon, freuler, maehle, malinovskiy, zapata, etc to go with great young talents they exported like bastoni, Diallo, Kulusevski, etc.

What should he do if Real, Man city, PSG, Chelsea, or the 3 other teams you find acceptable dont come for him? Cry? What should we do? Curse that people are racist to iranians? Bezanim to saremoon o begim ya husayn? Will that make you feel better lol?

I just dont see what your point of view is getting at. Azmoun is in a good position to succeed with such a move bc of his experience and talent level. Atalanta, Leverkusen would both be good fits and give him the chance to settle in to high scoring, attractive teams playing at a high level in europe (atalanta even more so) and still leave room for a transfer to elite club if he proves he deserves it.

Arshavin, Zenit's equivalent of sporting director / head of youth development basically confirms azmoun's imminent departure:

Does it make sense for Zenit to keep Azmun, who himself wants to go to Europe?

                                - Azmun has a desire to leave. But here both sides behave openly and honestly. The player wants to leave - the club wants to leave such a striker. Azmun remains a professional, he had a good first round. But we cannot force Serdar to stay.

                                - What Russian player can be compared to Azmun in terms of qualities?

                                - Azmun in Zenit can only be replaced by a foreigner. It is important to find it. I don't see a similar player in Russia.
