Per zenit director medvedev, it’s settled. Azmoun remains until the summer and will leave as a free then.
<<Zenit General Director Alexander Medvedev told why striker Serdar Azmun will not leave the club this winter.
“Azmun said himself that he wants to stay until the summer.
Serdar remains for two reasons: first, he wants to play for us; secondly, there is no replacement striker, ”Medvedev said.
Earlier it was reported that Zenit offered Azmun a contract for 4 years, the club is ready to wait until the end of January. At the same time, Lyon offered Zenit 3 million euros for Azmun. But the St. Petersburg club wants more for a player whose contract expires in the summer.
This season, the 27-year-old striker has scored 7 goals in 15 RPL matches. Details of his statistics can be found here.>>

No reason to waste anymore time on rumours.
Let him enjoy his remaining time in Russia, score some more goals, become the leading foreign goal scorer in Russian history and play some more UEFA games.
Plus his mind will be free and relaxed to play for TM.

The thing some sources still are confused about (not sure why) is that sardar, not zenit, literally holds all the cards.
Zenit need him to leave to sign a foreigner, but he only has a few months left until free agency, when he can assess all offers, including lyon, and pick the best one. Zenit cannot force him out and would not, firstly Bc they have a good relationship with him, secondly bc if he were to say “no I’m remaining until end of contract” they would be shooting themselves in the foot and probably gifting away the league title and potential CL qualification if they chose to freeze him out.
Sardar also doesn’t seem to have any real need to push lyon move. Maybe at some stage, start of season, with bosz just signing and Juninho there, he was really ready to play for them. But now with Juninho gone, bosz future uncertain, lyon low in the table, even those verbal agreements he had with previous regime count for little.
Ofc he could still end up there this window, but just from logical standpoint and now zenits managing directors comments it seems like a real longshot

Juventus turned to be linked to azmoun.
He has now been linked with every notable and semi notable club in serie A : Lazio, Napoli, Roma, Atalanta, AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, Fiorentina...
This is per Di Marzio, reputable skysports journo who broke links to roma in the summer...
"After Federico Chiesa's injury, Juventus began thinking to strengthen the attack. There was a first confrontation between the club and Massimiliano Allegri and the idea is not to buy a real replacement for Chiesa, but a flexible striker. The first name probed is that of Sardar Azmoun .
The Iranian striker, born in 1995, is about to expire his contract with Zenit St. Petersburg and is liked by several teams in Germany and France. The Russian club has asked for time to find a replacement, but the club and Allegri like Azmoun. A possible deal since Juventus, which wants to make a low-cost operation, also has a free slot for non-EU players. "
Seems to have some legs...

This would be for January btw. So he would be eligible for CL knockouts.
everybody starting sending the universe/respective god(s) your most heartfelt, sincere prayers.
This one is worth it. That late goal and overall solid performance despite zenits kiri gameplan, coupled with a generally strong CL showing especially in the games home and away to chelsea, may have put him firmly in their minds.

What is surprising is they are only in the consideration stage, as they are so smart than their bargain always come in the news when the deal is 97% done

No other strong team interested in him has such a useless current CF (Leverkusen have Schick, Atalanta have Zapata/Muriel, Milan have Giroud/Ibra, etc)
