I hope this news that we're hearing increasingly out of Juve motivated Sardar. The biggest teams in the world don't feel like he's been tested in Russia and that he is ready for the intense spotlight after his time at Zenit, and that he still need to PROVE IT to the footballing world.

The fact that they preferred to take him on loan rather than buy really says something.

I'm of the opinion that the big teams either want to go all in and spend $50 million on the next wonderkid like they're gambling at the casino (which often doesn't pans out), or they want to drop $10-$15 on an aging name like Suarez. Otherwise, they stick to the players who came up through their own youth system, and every once in a while buy a standout player from their own league. I think the chance of Sardar to Juventus is very low based on how I've seen these big teams operate. It's just not something you see where a big team buys a player from a non-top 5 footballing league who is past 25 years old. I can't remember the last time a player left Russia to go to a top-5 league. Maybe Arshavin and Witsel? Can't think of many more. Sardar stayed in Zenit for too long, but it's his life and career. He will likely go to Lyon and I hope it's not another Brighton situation. If he excels there, he'll be on PSG's radar. Mbappe will leave that team at some point. It's like Taremi in Portugal, Sardar will need to go to this currently mid-table team and have a prove it season or two. If he succeeds, then the big name team in that league will buy him as Porto did Taremi, as Olympiacos did with Ansarifard.

Moral of the Story - our players need to go to a top 5 league before age 25. Our players have proved they can be dominant on mid-level teams in top-10 leagues. We need someone like Allahyar to go to a mid-table top-5 league team now, the more years he spends in Turkey, Russia, Portugal, etc. will implant him in those leagues. Some of our standout players are easily capable of playing for Mallorca, Granada, etc. I think if Ezatollahi would have stayed at Atletico's youth squad, he would've probably been picked up by one of those lower/mid table Spanish teams by 21/22 and currently been in a much better club. That move to Rostov really set him back.

Juve is a frugal team. They’re not going to pay money now for a player they can get free in a few months.

Coach Peter Bosz before #ESTACOL: "I'm always looking to see if there's a youngster from the Academy who can come up and train with us. We're going to keep @emersonpalmieri. Azmoun is a good player, he scores goals. We look at what the team needs."

Interesting bit of information from this article from a Liverpool fansite when discussing the positives of an Azmoun signing. It is talking about his pressing abilities and I think answers the doubts of those who think he is unable to do this

                            https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool-...-free-22712107

“ In the last four seasons, he has played with Zenit in the Champions League, Azmoun has shown he can be an astute presser in the opposition's final third. He has averaged 8.54 pressures in the opposition's final third in total, which is similar to Diogo Jota (9.20) and Roberto Firmino (7.83) as per FBref.”

What are Azmoun and Zenit thinking? Khak beh sareh Moshiri who can't open the purse a bit to get him to Everton or something.
Bro, Everton don't really have a need for Azmoun. They are too busy signing or starting world-class talent like Rondon, El Ghazi, Longstaff, Mykolenko, and co... Why on earth would they need Azmoun for?
