Sardar Azmoun @ Zenit St. Petersburg 2021/22

Juventus will be hiring Sardar Azmoun for hours. According to Tuttosport, negotiations between the Italian emblem and Zenit are progressing and the agreement should be reached soon.

The 27-year-old Iranian striker ends his contract with the Russian club at the end of the season, and this is therefore the last chance for Zenit to make a financial contribution.

The Italian newspaper reports that the agreement should be reached for around four million euros, with Azmoun preferring to head to Juventus rather than moving to Lyon, France.


The forward arrived at Zenit in January 2019, in exchange for 12 million euros paid to Rostov, and scored 62 goals in 104 games.

zenit are the ridiculous ones here my friend. They had 18 million on the table from leverkusen in the summer, with enough time to find a suitable replacement. After Azmoun had agreed personal terms and zenit gave effective agreement to leverkusen for the sale medvedev and friends decided to abandon the deal at the last minute.

18 million is great money for azmoun entering last year of his deal. His real market value is 25, so some substantial discount is expected when entering the final season.
Instead they didnt let him go, azmoun played well in 1/2 of season but you can argue another forward's performance wouldnt have been too much worse.

Now everybody will try to be frugal with them for a player with basically 4 months left on his contract.
