So much for Roma being “broke”. I guess they are broke when it comes down to Iranian players, i.e. Azmoun. They just don’t value him as much as that Abraham guy unfortunately, otherwise they would pay the €20 million straight up.

I read on french papers that Azmoun wasn't motivated to play under mourinho but was convinced by Bosz (who tried to bring him at leverkusen) to come to Lyon.

Lyon fans are quite happy if Azmoun joins them, except a few that don't know him or joke about his name (azmoun/amazon)

Lyon would have been nice some years ago as he would have been transferred by a big club by now.

But now, the French league level is quite low and what is worrying in Lyon is that most of their players get pretty long injury during their time there.

I don’t know how legit that guy is - only has 47 followers and links to a page that doesn’t exist. Someone underneath has mentioned that he is wrong and that Sardar has mentioned he is waiting for Zenit decision and will play with full dedication. Also that Zenit won’t look to sell Sardar until they can tie up a deal for Cunha.

I'm on the 'literally anything respectable besides another boring year at Zenit' train at this point. He will almost without a doubt repeat his last season -- probably top scorer + league title winner + UCL group stage exit. He is improving without a doubt and you can see that in his finishing and some of his other attributes. But he isn't being polished/refined the way we would like to see if he went into a league with more competition, higher level of play, higher technical demands

I'm actually waiting for Liverpool to show interest. Chelsea, ManU and City are gearing up for the new season, but nothing has come from Liverpool so far apart from the signing of Konate (defender). If Liverpool want to compete for the title again, it is essential to sign a second good centre-forward. Origi just doesn't have the class for a team that wants to be at the top of the EPL. He will probably have to line up behind Firmino at the start, but Sardar is someone who I think can compete with him and could fit into the system very well. With the high number of games he would also get more than enough appearances, just looking at how many Origi gets. 15-20mio shouldn't be a hurdle for Liverpool either.
