Qatar and conditioning don’t really go together, especially for a guy like Saeed who gains weight easily.

If this is true, its really bad. Saeid had a hard enough time maintaining his fitness in a professional environment in Europe. I can’t even imagine what will happen after a year in a vacation/resort league like Qatar. He was the only bright spot in the midfield.

Well its probably not much worse than vejle though, that club is azadegan league leveled.. so al gharafa is ot a top club thete nowdayz? Coach and teammates? Or is it take it easy club..
Idk atleast he will be comfortable in the qatar stadiums coming wc :/

Its a take it easy league. He’s going for the money. I bet they are paying better than usual. Any QSL player they can have in WC is a great little advertisement for them. Basically Saeed sold himself to Qatar…

Had a signed to a more sensible 1-2 year contract with veggiebobs he now coulda far more easily facilitated a better move ..! But being still on the hook for some 3+ more seasons will all but certainly complicate such matters for him ..!

I never buy what footballers says in interviews, but if this awful transfer come true, it says all about his recent interviewsand all the blabla about Europe.

Since the 2006-2010 big bang when our (top4) euro legionnaires reached the extinction, we are fighting every day and every inch to get better transfers and finally come back to the best leagues. Almost every window, a fker break this collective fight to join qatar. Ezza career choice went from bad to worse.

issue for him is even more than others who choose qatar.

He has proven time and again that FITNESS and PERSISTENCE are two elements he really struggles with. Even in good spell with Vejle at various times press has criticized him for returning to team from holidays overweight/outta shape and that was the kick up the ass he often required to get back in shape. For TM, his move to denmark has been excellent. Since playing 90 mins every week when he comes to TM he dictates the games, dominates physically and technically, and is basically the only reliable and long term element of our midfield.

I fear what will happen to him in qatar. He will probably blow up like a watermelon by the time WC rolls around. Compare to last WC, he spent year on loan at small russian team Amkar. Quickly became fix there and his great performances at base of very deep midfield were critical in getting the team to safety. Many games he was playing deep DM role, just like TM, and got them critical points vs the likes of spartak, zenit, etc. Vs Spain and Portugal he was in top shape and monumental for us.

I really do not see what was the issue seeing out remainder of year at Vejle and reassessing then. If they did indeed relegate they would quickly shed expensive guys like him for cheap cutprice deals.
