Development of football talent? Karim Bagheri, Teymourian and Ebrahimi didn't exactly have long careers in Europe but they where all great for TM. Point is that when a player is talented and understands football he can go far, playing for a club in a good to decent league in Europe is nice but it all starts with talent. Now if Salmani happens to be a talented central midfielder but the mighty Europeans can't see his talent it's not going to be the end of the world.

lol how is that? The guy is comfortably the bets young player in the league. Same league that has exported Jafar Salmani, Moghanlou, Alipour, Norafkan, Delfi, Majid all to respectable EU leagues in the past couple seasons. Mohebbi, Ghayedi on the brink and have formal offers from portugal too.

If he keeps it up, adds some strong ACL games + TM caps to his resume, you are saying you dont see where an offer would come from? Actually, the fact he is so impressive and affecting games with such consistency from central midfield in a league where central midfielders are typically so under-utilized only helps him

I think CM is a position that often requires more of the manager's trust and belief. They're happier to give opportunities to the other positions (GK aside) but as the heartbeat of the side, it's more difficult for CMs to establish themselves.

I think that's largely why you see far fewer Asian CMs but regardless, I haven't analysed the distributions to see just how pronounced that is (I may well be forgetting a raft of Asian CMs). It may just be that Asian CMs are just as equally unpopular as the other positions.

As I said, the Persian Lives Mattet movement needs to be fast tracked or we risk losing talents like Salmani and Mohebbi.

He should go to Europe to nurture his talent. Clearly European football is vastly superior in all aspects.

Karim Bagheri, Ebrahimi, Ali Karimi and Teymourian played most of their career in Iran and their talent was really well nortured as we could see in TM and on the international stage. Point is that it's always exciting to see Iranian talents emerging and not only when they move to almighty Europe as Taz claimed in his previous post. When European scouts do not recognise their talent it's not the end of the world or their talent does not magically disappear. Also not all European leagues are better than the Iranian leagues, in fact the Iranian league is superior to many European leagues. Only 6 or 7 European leagues are clearly better than the Iranian league, the big four + france, portugal and maybe Belgium. The rest is only Iranian inferiority complex making them bigger than they are.

They would have been better nortured if they would have moved to Europe earlier. Beiro clearly told the difference of training between Belgium and Iran, Karimi was throwing up after its first Bayern trainings.

I can hear IPL improved but 5 years ago, most of the game were so poor, it was just "unwatchable".

There are more european leagues superior to IPL than those listed: Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Holland, Greece.. (both have clubs winning Europa leagues and/or doing ok against top clubs). Also other european countries does better than our national team in WC or international competition while having most of their players playing or developped in their local league

Come on bro, Iran simply does not have the infrastructure and professionalism to nurture our talents. They need to go abroad to Europe to maximize their potential. For God's sakes, most people don't even get paid on time or receive their salaries in Iran. We have a manager that pays out of their own pocket to cover some salary - and that's at one of our biggest and best club (Farhad Majidi at Esteghlal)! Carlos even was paying out of his own pocket for our team! Which other developed nation has their coach paying out of their pocket so they can get their team out there to play? Why would they stay in a system like that?

You missed A LOT of leagues there: Russia, Netherlands, Austria, Turkey, Denmark, Croatia, Serbia etc.

I say it's fake Iranian superiority/nationalism without merit (especially last 42 years) that does not see the reality; and misrepresenting and shouting about it will not change the reality on the ground. We have this macho view of our world while our country crumbles in many things - not just sports. What has kept TM the pride of Iran is our natural talent (thank God) and our good players leaving to Europe. Compare someone like Sardar (Europe) to the best striker in Iran (Sajjad Shahbazzadeh) - they are on different levels.

Also - you probably live in the West lol and took your talents there to do better in your life. Our players should do the same.

He has a year left on his contract. If he stays in Iran next season, I hope he doesn't extend it so he can leave on a free

Yasin is signed to SA SPORT AGENCY - which has Ehsan Hajsafi and Shariyar Moghanlou as their clients as well. Both played for European clubs, so hopefully the agents have some contacts in Europe.

Ehsan is going to AEK and Sharyar may go back to Santa Clara - so let's hope Yasin can start in a league like Portugal's.

perfect situation for him. He just burst on scene in past 6 months. Another season, chance to play in ACL games, continue to up his resume, maybe even get some TM calls, and as a free agent he can make a move without hassle to the best euro suitor.
