for him right now important thing isnt stats. Those will come. Critical thing is establishing his place in xi, which comes from impacting games as he is doing.

Yeah, I noticed our boys in Portugal get a bit screwed when it comes to things like this. Same thing happened when it was Mehdi who got a goal but they gave it to Luis Diaz cause he had last touch. Fair play. But why not to do the same to Mehdi when the reverse was true? They took a goal away from him during his "drought".

He also should have been awarded a penalty as he was nearest to the defender and it hit the defender's hand. Mohebi's pressure caused the defender to make the mistake. But strangely, even with VAR (where a clear hand ball was seen), referee decided against it.

He was very, very efficient and impactful today.

Well at least good point about this match is that mohebi will start the next game (against benefica) after 2 of their players getting sent off. If he shines against benefica then he'll be one step close to getting signed up by top 3 teams.

Will all due respect Milad jan, as a Mohebi stan I think he would have to do more in the league than shine against Benfica to get signed by a top-3 team. But it should further solidify his chances of a TM call up.

OFC and I agree with you but shining against big teams is one big step forward. He'll be on their radar if he shines He has the quality and physiques too.

Yes, but for right now his main priority should be breaking into Santa Clara XI and getting good playtime for his club so he can help Team Melli.

                        question:
Do they also give credit to the POSTS and BARS when shots/headers hit the posts and bars and go in?
I think they should ... by this logic!

Lincoln and Cryzan decriminalization request advances

Azorean training considers that referee Manuel Oliveira made mistakes in the technical and disciplinary assessment

Santa Clara's SAD will move forward with requests for the decriminalization of attacking midfielder Lincoln and striker Cryzan, expelled against Gil Vicente. The Azorean team believes that referee Manuel Oliveira made mistakes in the technical and disciplinary assessment of the moves that led to the red cards for both players. The objective is to guarantee the presence of Lincoln and Cryzan in the next round, against Benfica.

The two Brazilians are one of the most used players by coach Mário Silva, being two references in Santa Clara's offensive process. If the request is rejected, the coach should bet on the launch of Óscar Barreto and Mohebi. Costinha and Sagna (injured) are unlikely to recover in time for Saturday's game, while Patrick Machado and Luis Gómez, the last reinforcements, are still gaining competitive momentum.

                            OSCAR AND MOHEBI'S TURN

Major casualties in the Azorean eleven, as in the cases of Lincoln and Cryzan, open the doors of the starting lineup to players who, in Luz, will have the opportunity to show themselves

Characteristics of the Colombian striker allow him to play in the center aisle. As for Mohebi, he is back after scoring in Moreira de Cónegos and participating in a goal against Gil Vicente.

The impediments of Lincoln and Cryzan constitute a window of opportunity for Óscar Barreto and Mohebi to replace their teammates in the Santa Clara eleven that are currently facing Benfica. The two Brazilians were expelled in the last match of the championship, for accumulating yellow cards, and, despite the request for decriminalization presented by the Azorean SAD, both will have to serve a punishment game.

For Lincoln's place, Óscar Barreto should advance. It will be the second time that the Colombian will start, after having already lined up at the beginning against Boavista. However, against the chess players, Barreto played from a wing, and his characteristics are also suitable for the central aisle.

The Iranian Mohebi was signed from Sepahan and has already played eight games.
As for Mohebi, who in the last two games in which he participated was in two goals: he scored in Moreira de Cónegos and had an influence on the second goal of the 2-2 draw with Gil Vicente, in Barcelos, could be awarded the title at Luz, playing from the right aisle. The Iranian's characteristics, very similar to those of Cryzan, make him the ideal replacement for the Brazilian who is the team's top scorer in the Bwin League.

Mário Silva did not hide that Lincoln and Cryzan “are important”, but he stressed that he had “solutions” in the squad to replace them. “I trust everyone and it's a matter of opportunity and taking advantage of that opportunity”, declared the coach.

“[Lincoln and Cryzan] are important players, but we have solutions. I trust everyone” - Mário Silva Coach of Santa Clara

Goals: Mohebi scored against Moreirense and participated in the second against Gil Vicente
