It has been Ghoddos vs Syria so far. Syrians are playing super dirty, defending with their entire team, and wasting time when they can (aka per the norm of Arab teams). Gholizadeh has been invisible, and Jahanbaksh has failed to get past the LB almost every single time, but played one good ball. We need to get Taremi involved more.

Piss poor first half by TM. Zero gameplan, strategy, cohesion (which is predictable given the lack of preparation and coaching). We haven't had any clear cut chances, in fact, Syria has had the better chance and we are lucky not to be down. We are playing some midfields in fullback positions, playing wings out of position, and have no midfield.

Gholi has been very poor (I now understand why he's fallen out of favor at Charleroi), and we shouldnt be playing JB out of position for him.

Shoja has been bad as well. He gave up that chance to Syria, missed that wide open header, and just gave up a bad FK and received a yellow card. We are very thin at CB all of a sudden too.

Really could’ve used Azmoun in this. Taremi gets too much of the defensive attention when he’s the lone striker out there. With Azmoun the linkup play up top is deadly
